I agree, I don't see a lick of similarity to Dolce & Gabbana, and am curious what similarities you see. Both show influences of the 1940s, but Lanvin moreso than Dolce. The 1940's, however, were an influence seen across the board. I agree, the recent Dolce collection was just awful, while this is superlatively elegant.
The millenary is in the spirit of Janne Lanvin, however, it's nowhere near the impressive and sensational nature of her creations. Dolce & Gabbana, one could argue, are channeling the creations of Janne Lanvin, or more appropriately, Elsa Schiaparelli. I say Schiaparelli in particular because the colour is Shocking (aha i hope someone understands the reference)! The motif of hands references her surrealism; however others have also done padded hand motifs recently. Not particularly original.
I'm sorry you don't like me. I think your problem is that you want people to agree with everything you say, rather than disagree. I understood your comment, I believe you spelled Jeanne Lanvin as Janne Lanvin. I would think you would want to know how to spell her comment correctly. Doesn't take much comprehension there does it? Have a nice day :)
Don't assume you know how I think. It's incorrect and horribly presumptuous of you. And a simple typo, the miss of one stroke of a key, doesn't validate your points, nor does it make you any smarter than I am. Had you some knowledge, you wouldn't go after a simple misspelling; rather, you would debate an opinion with your intelligence and knowledge. However, I suppose to do so one must posses some intelligence and knowledge.
a threat to your 'intelligence.' Condescension and a large vocabulary don't intimidate me. You don't have a single original idea in your head and I picked up on that.
Feel free to keep trying. And in the future when someone challenges you, be more mature than insulting. And stop with the bullshit "typo" my ass!
You're reaching. It's not that difficult to regurgitate everything that Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana stated themselves and try to pass it off as an idea of your own. That's exactly what you're doing. What is there to debate? If I was to debate I would go straight to the designers, seeing as how it's their idea and statement that you used.
And that was obviously not a typo. A typo would be brushing into the D key. I'm not attacking anything you have to say. It's all fluff. Maybe I'm
Dolce &Gabbana have been taking a bit too much inspiration from Alber as of late... I was in Paris last year and Dolce and Gabbana...the men themselves, went into the Lanvin boutique and pretty much bought most of the store. they didn't have a woman with them they were buying for and they said that the size of the clothes was not important. so, it's easy to see where their...ahemmm... 'inspiration' came from...
While my point had nothing to do with Dolce & Gabbana copying Lanvin... I have no idea how that thought was attributed to me... this is interesting. Did they really buy everything? Did they elaborate why they bought so much? Anything about a detail or idea in the clothes?

I see the similiarity in the hat and in the hands the rest i say that is Lanvin's creation, in paricularity the jewels!

Jeanne Lanvin, and Dolce & Gabbana stated that Elsa Schiparelli was their inspiration for their FW 2009 collection. We don't need you to repeat it.
