I like custom worlds but I never use them. Ha. I really should download a new world just to see what its like. The current house that I built (inspired by this video) doesn't fit any of the EA worlds that I have.

@simstorial You make one roof with a flat top. Then you put another roof on top with a pointed top and slightly lower angle to help break up the flaws.

@WibbleLikeAJelly - I build in a custom made world because:

1 - It loads MUCH faster

2 - Every lot is 100% flat

3 - I have more space

4 - I can edit the town the way *I* like it

5 - No random people

6 - ...The EA ones are just ugly :x

A lot of builders build in custom worlds, it is just a quicker and easier way to navigate :D

how did u do ur veiws of the house so easliy everytime when i try to move from one room to the next i always end up in the a room next to the room that i wanted to be in.....i mean my movement is too fast that when i go down a hallway i end up in a room that i didnt want to be in because the movement is too fast....make sense O.o?!

@Darkenedhunt nah, all the sims music drives me insane. I have every pack, i just don't like how they love to holiday and the lame quests in world adventures, so i don't install it. I guess its cause it gets repetitive as you take like 3 hours to build 1 house lol. sadness :(

Very cute. I love building small myself. Just one question: why did you remove the tiles from the slanted part of the roof? (0:35) Because if you hadn't you could have painted the ceiling in the bedrooms and wouldn't see that ugly underside of the roof.

@soundlessfootsteps - Runs the risk of roofs popping up in addition to other potential problems such as; The roof clipping the floor tiles regardless, and the fact that slanted tiles give plenty of problems with ceilings (particularly not showing up.) :)

@TheSimSupply Finally managed to stop the video at just the right moment and I see what you mean about the roof clipping that one floor tile in the corner. Missed that the first time. I did some attics myself with that method (though less complicated, so that corner tile problem didn't turn up) and the ceiling always showed up fine as long as I had it painted.

Anyway, it's great you guys are finally back. I hope to see some new tutorials soon. ;-)
