  • Nice images. Was the CCD camera expensive?

  • @aerodynamic3794 Unfortunately these specialised hi-sensitivity astrocams are expensive - Google Starlight Xpress cameras

  • @nytecam they can be verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry expensive, cheaper ones starting around 250-500, and more expansive ones in the 10's of thousands! :P he has an awesome setup!

  • great images !

  • fantastic

  • u r cool

  • I just started the hobby and i hope to see one day what you saw . 5 stars very nice .

  • Do I understand ok? You use ETX 70 only to aiming but the images are taking with the larger. Thanks

  • No - the pics in vid taken with the little ETX-70 piggybacked on my big scope. Each exposures runs to many minutes;-)

  • Hi - my set-up is shown at the beginning of the vid but to clarify I use a Meade ETX-70 OTA [no mount] piggybacked on my larger Meade 12" LX200 for aiming and tracking during the camera exposures of typically 2-10min - depending on the faintness of the target object. I use an ultra sensitive B&W Starlight Xpress CCD camera to take the images captured to the laptop;-)

  • Nice pics, can you explain your setup in more detail to a budding amateur astronomer?
