Can somebody please explain to me the answer on the phone about size of the shoes "five and a half"? I noticed it in one of the older sketches with firemen. Does it refer to some doublesense question that is known and used in England's calls? Im not from an english speaking country so I want to exclude that theory, well another theory might be its unexplainable pythonic stuff.
When you try to get any service over the phone over here (to do with money or health), the covosation will be long, stupid and filled with pointless questions, some make as mutch sence as asking you your shoe size.

Very amusing, Lord Kimble, but would you excuse me a moment? I want to powder my nose.

I never understood the Pasolini sketch when I was young ... after trying to make it through many of his crappy films since then, that was spot on.
