Scots are Gaelic Irish by origin...the Romans called them Scotti. The Gaels are not a separate race, they are a cultural identity. In your way of thinking, we should still be calling the French Gauls, or Italians Romans.

That is rather amusing. To TheDullahan: The Fir Bolgs are not Celts, they are their precedents and were seen as semi-divine figures later on. The Celts may have painted themselves, but from personal experience, woad makes terrible body paint, so I don't know about that either. Having studied traditional fighting and history, I can tell you that there are many inaccuracies here. You must remember that CELT is an all-embracing term for the tribes and yes, races, of Celtica, the Celtic lands. Keep in mind that even today, there are TWO unique races who hail from Ireland. Those of snow-white skin with jet black hair and those slightly less pale with red or brown hair. The latter are also larger.

Well, I know the helmet is pretty acurate, being based on an actual gallic design discovered by archaeologists. As far as some people talking about innaccuracies here, well, it really depends on the time period. While there seems to be a common design throughout the region of gaul during the La tene and Hallstatt cultures, we must remember that these guys also participated in raids and such, and also had contact with other cultures. You could see alot of different shit in a celtic army.

What is with the Armor? It is Scale Mail... when Celts fought with Armor, they generally used Chain Mail. The only time I can think of them using anything else, is when they have defeated an enemy and have pilfered that enemies armor.
Furthermore, your actor does not have any Body Paint.

However it was in use after that and remained in use until the Christian occupation of Ireland. A period of time spanning from 300 BCE to 1100 CE, a span of 1400 years! You tell me which period of time explains the greater influence on the Celts.
