Can U please tell me what is on the copper board that reacts with the UV light. I use KONTAKT CHEMIE Positv 20, and my board doesn't allways come out the way I want it! Most of the time I have to spary/expose/devolep the board several times before it comes out the way I want it! I am thinking of using something else than Positv 20. Any ideas...? Thanx for the video!
@X2YeZCAMCNC It is more than a year later! And I just want to say thanx for the help! I made a few boards and got the hang of it now! I put up a few flyers on campus and now I am the local PCboard guy! Making a few bucks on the side! LOL. Again thanx for the video! Helped me alot!

Thanks You can get the CorelDraw Template file I use to make the board layout on ebay. Search for "DIY Printed Circuit Board Layout Template CorelDraw 10"
The copper bd has a photo sensitive layer right? Where did you get it? What was the item that you removed that was near the copper at the start of the video?
Yes a positive acting photo sensitive layer. You can buy them online. They are made by M.G. Chemicals. Made in Canada. The transparency I created (board layout) is place on the board and then exposure just like a photo and then I develop the "photo" board.
Hey I can shoot you a printed circuit board, solder on my preprogrammed micro controller and you can install the rest of the parts indicated on the parts list. The printed circuit board will fit inside a HAMMOND 1455 series aluminum case. Or I could completely built the board and test for you. Let me know.
What software do you use to create schematic representations? I want a Educational software that allows me to test it out(like clicking a 'Play' button...which will start the circuit)!
Hi Great job, methyl hydrate is that a M.G. product and is it the same as alcohol or acetone? Are your suppose to do the methyl hydrate after you've etch the board as a last step?

@caspergeel Positive acting photo-sensitive coating. You can spray on or buy the board with it already applied to the surface.

Where did you get the transparency from? Here it's about 150PLN = 50USD ($) for a pack of 20.

Great presentation... i like your style. one thing: i would love to see that from start to finish. kindda missing the start

Do you mean the board layout process?
X2YeZCAMCNC 2 years ago
Great videos man, heard about this stuff but never seen it in practice, only ever used stripboard.
Was thinking about making a couple of my own guitar effects pedals and this may come in handy for future reference.

Hate to break it to you, but your DANGER is backwards XD
jrcboy 2 years ago
It is intended to be backwards. The copper side is the reverse of the layout. On the front component side, the word DANGER will be the right way.

But how do you make the film/sheet?
pingpongme 3 years ago
I create the board layout in CorelDraw and get it printed onto overhead transparency at UPS Store.

alcohal and I is what I use to remove the presensitized coating from the copper clad and it can be done just before or after drilling the board.

Hi, great job. i`m a little confused, are you using a solid piece of copper or some kind of board with a thin layer of copper on each side. thank you
evolution2015 3 years ago
Fiberglass board with a thin layer of copper on each side

solid copper, haha, yeah, that would be awesome... ;)
