Battlefield 3 crash/freeze (sound loop) FIX! READ DESCRIPTION!

What's this 'REMOVEWAT' you are talking about? I'm really lost here and yeah I have a game freeze with sound loop when it freezes problem every 5mins in both campaign and multiplayer as well can someone help me understand this better? =/

@SoldierOfUtopia people whit no original windows use ''REMOVEWAT'' to make it look like its original... first of all do you have a original/legit windows? if you have a original windows this wont help you.... but if you dont, follow the steps...

@xxdodge if its not genuine follow: Do you have the WAT update installed, KB971033? If yes you may have got flagged as non-genuine. In order to become genuine again just do the following.

* Launch the loader application and select to uninstall

* Restart the PC

* Install the loader and restart the PC

step 1: sfc scanow

step 2: Look for the Update KB970133 if its installed so yes delete it and hide it (if you don't know how to hide it reply)

step 3: install Windows Loader By Daz

step 4: go to origin and repair the game

step 5: Run it as Administrator

this is how it should be done...

Hello, I would like some assistance. This are the steps i followed please correct me if i did something wrong:

1.RestoreWat using the removewat program.

2.Using sfc -scannow to make sure everything is deleted.

3.Unistall with Daz loader, Restart

4.Install with daz loader, Restart

5.Vaildate with the file from the provied website, Restart.

Now when i check my windows update i can see the KB970133 file installed again, I had it in my hidden updates but its now installed. Was it suppose to happen?

@dennisthedevilboy after you uninstalled it go to Windows Update.... and than you will see a text A new update is available click on it... a new screen will pop up and than right click it and than select hide it.... its simple but if there is no new update just let it search for new updates..

My version of Win7 never turned ungenuine once I restarded the computer after scanning. I removed the KB971033 update, and hid it, then revalidated my Win7 with Daz's loader just to be safe. My game still crashes, what should I do? Thanks!

I tried repairing the game, but not running it as an administrator, I'll try that.

But I'm figuring, since my Win7 never turned ungenuine once I uninstalled RemoveWAT, that might be the problem? I never once got the message that my Win7 was ungenuine.

Also, when im playing it states Battlefield3 TM....

In the Regedit i removed the TM but when i go to EA games/Battlefield3 the application is called just bf3. but when i rightclick it, in the description it says Battlefield 3 TM? lol

What kind of crash is this? Not sure whether to try this fix as mine is more of a freeze screen with the last sound looping. My windows is not genuine, but just wondering if my problem sounds like something different to the 'not genuine' crashes.

@kursun12 I am just skeptical because this problem was happening with Skyrim and Deus Ex about every 20 minutes. Could this same issue apply to those games as well?... possibly i guess. What i did last try was disabling VPU Recover in windows and turning off Overdrive on the catalyst control panel. So far so good. If this last change fails ill try your fix. Just thought i would share that info with anyone here interested.

2) Rename the Battlefield 3™ folder to Battlefield 3 - (removing ™)

3)Start regedit , browse to the following key :

HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WoW6432Node\E­A Games

Change the GDFBinary & InstallDir paths to C:\Program Files (x86)\Battlefield 3\ Battlefield 3 - again removing ™

Note: when you rename the folder and edit the registry You have to make sure Origin is not running.

@iGearFace are you using a REMOVEWAT or something like that (not original windows) if yes i had the same problem.... just follow the steps it seems punkbuster can see if a windows is not legit and freezes the pc... but somehow WINDOWS LOADER by daz seems not to by caught by punkbuster....
