I knew Joe is the best when I started listening years ago before people said Joe who?? When I started listening and studying music heavily I found out that Satch was making progress incredibly faster than the other music masters. There are many great guitarists, but Guitar Master Satriani has definitely made it work for himself and laid foundations for the next 100 years, so long as an asteroid doesn't obliterate the earth.

I was just at a Satch concert yesterday. The story he told behind this song, was that he was sleeping, and he was playing or writing this song. When he woke up, he could still here the song clear as crystal. So, he got up and played the song and recorded it.

Satrianis' appeal is not just in his great technical ability--there are others who could match him there IMO. Where he outdoes all of them is in his talent and innovation as a very solid writer/composer. His songs have more feeling, cohesiveness, and flow than the rest--this cut is a good example.
