@TheJay9002 -You really don't have to be all "student experience-y". I've been here for 3 years, joined 5 societies and not been for 1 event and still managed to not kill myself because I have no friends.

Definitely go! Uni life is pretty awesome. Only thing to note, it's an entirely student town so there's not much to do but drink, eat out or watch movies. That is my ideal world, so I love it here.

I went to Trent... and yes it was utter shit! A soul-less hole of a university, full of some of the thickest people I have ever had the misfortune to meet. I'd say if you are either a chav, love watching BigBrother and drinking WKDblue, read the Sun and think non-chart music is 'weird'... you will love Trent. Thats unless you are studying in the 'art' department in which case you better be a neuvaue riche fashionista or risk massive alianation and dispair. Else, go to Bristol. Much nicer.
