@chattjedi When we paid for the tickets to see his movies, bought the merchandise, the VHS and DVD's, the movies because ours, too. We invested in them. If he had shown the movies for free and didn't sell posters and action figures, then yes. It would be his and his alone.

I really can't stand the fan boys crying "George Lucas raped their childhood" and STILL moaning over how Jar Jar sucks. GROW UP ALREADY!!! True the prequel trilogy wasn't as good as the original but it's hard to capture lighting in a bottle twice. Phantom Menace was totally over hyped by rabid fans. If anyone needs anything else to be convinced of Lucas' failure as a filmmaker, look no further than the fact he preferred Tom Selleck for the role of Indiana Jones. He had to be convinced by Spielberg to cast Harrison Ford. I'm still not sure he could come up with something as cool as Star Wars on his own given his recent track record.

He didn't have the power back then, so he had to go through proper channels which is why the original trilogy is so great, people didn't let George get away with insanity ie: Mediochloreans(sp?)

@Jogonpants I think that what made the first trilogy as great as it is was the fact that George Lucas was making a movie trilogy because he wanted to make a movie trilogy out of his love for making films. On the other hand, the 2nd trilogy to me at least looks more like a trilogy made out of necessity.Even in this trailer it's said that he has piles of movies that he wants to make but doesn't because he's working on something new for Star Wars or Indy which is great but not excellent-film wise.

@Dronzul No it is a dfferet in taste. Many peope even hate them because of the plitics well someone who like thr politics is probably in fact more sophisticated. The prequels have great and complex stories and the avtig and dialogue is great, it is just not badass, it is real human serious natural from the heart, as the love story was akward, caus they wer young, the action was veru excituing i yiou can`t folow t you should realy train your brains more.
