Your heart is so precious! I love your faith and I don't even know you. I'm really sorry to hear your friend is moving. I was usually the friend who had to move. It's not fun for anyone. It's also terrible to hear about all the devastation in the world. God's heart breaks for the big calamities, but He also cares about your pain even if it is small in comparison. God is so good!
