I'm not sure about CBS Atlanta, but I miss the CBS 46 brand.

They only used this branding from 2002-2008 but they are really struggling in the ratings out in Atlanta. CBS Atlanta look seems too generic and has no unique branding. CBS 46 at least gives their channel position.

@ptb267ii think about 46 vs. 2, 5 and 11.
also, in most Brazilian markets (including mine, the São Paulo market, which is the biggest), no station uses its channel number in its branding, but rather network branding (all major stations are network owned-and-operated).

Where are the anchors? How do you compete against John and Monica on WSB with two anchors you only hear and never see? TV is about connecting with people and this station is downplaying the personal aspect to its own peril.

No owonder that is why they are still in last place in Atlanta. Unfortunately, I don't get this station anymore beacuse my company switched out of Atlanta and now they are focusing on NYC instead.

I agree how can they complete with Monica and John, but CBS Atlanta News at 11 beating Brenda and Ted on 11Alive and Fox Edge on WAGA

What is this, you can just record everything in this newscast except for the live reports. Imagine a whole newscast filled with B-Roll.

No wonder WGCL is in last place. They have been since Gene Norman moved to KHOU and they hired a ditz make that 2 ditzes to do the weather.

Actually they do have a formal news open, however, it airs at noon, 4 and 6. It looks (and sounds) quite nice!

They look great! Apparently they don't have a formal news open. Also this must have been their first night with the new branding, the reporter signs off with their old newscast name, CBS 46 News.

They don't, they basically tried to remake themselves as CBS Atlanta as they are the largest market on a UHF channel. BTW, when I got this, I was traded this by someone who lives in Atl since this is the only station I don't get on my satellite. BTW, this is from the 2nd week of HD.
