As much as I agree that money needs to be brought in to keep the species from being extinct, I believe that there are far better ways than hunting to bring in money for them.
If Africa is the scar on the world's conscience as it has often been described by politicians, and this practice increases diversity and numbers over the alternative of rampant poaching, then it's clearly conservation and development at the same time...a seemingly positive outcome. It's all very well us in the West living our cosseted lives, having childish knee jerk reactions, and I for one have no interest in hunting, but there are wider issues here than superimposing ideals.
@munkdo3 im not so sure, i disagree about elephants ofcorse, but he does actually keep that species in existance so i think louis should of had some respect for what he does.
Altough I'm a big fan of Louis Theroux, I think he goes outta line here. This man speaks so passionate about his animals, you can feel the love and energy he puts into working with them.

This guy is right on some points. But I find him rather evil. Ok, afrika has nothing compaired to the west. And I agree that when people could not shoot on orginised safari's, they would do it in the wild life. But shooting animals is wrong for fun. But I rather shoot and eat a wildlife, then watch a bio industry killing and then eat it. Cutting down on meat is the only correct anwser for me. Normal safari's make money too.
