  • Great vid:)

  • what you did is amazing i dont know anybody who goes through the trouble to do what you did, beautiful photos

  • What nature park r u at cause i live in tampa as well and would like to check out that nature park at least i think it was a nature park cause i saw a board walk

  • @SternyCam I work Riverhills and Temple Crest park, occasionally Lake Park. I have done Rowlett park once. Also do Sweetwater creek. One of these days I will get up to Lettuce Lake. Try to do as much as I can from my kayak, otherwise I use chest waders and work the shoreline.

  • have u ever found something dead on the river?

  • @dulcecanddy yes, turtles, birds, and fish.

  • Bob. Another nice vid!

Any good plants for aquarium that my turtle won't destroy too much?

  • @walsallcrew I don't know of any. Turtles will eat plants. They also like to crawl through them. A mix of live and plastic is probably the best bet. I have to replace my live plants all the time. Mossballs are not usually eaten but the turtles will still tear it apart.

  • is that a Florida red bellied turtle? @ 7:58 i also go down to south FL to photograph reptiles and birds and I see these turtles a lot.

    Love the video, very inspirational

  • @salmonella4everyone I'm not sure. I thought it might be a yellow bellied cooter.

  • @BauriBob That makes sense. When I search images for both, they look really similar- the cooter and the FL red belly. I think you're right about it being a YBC.

  • show us the leeches on the bottom of the kayak

  • @Noraturtlefan I was going to take a photo of them last week but didn't think it would be that interesting. They are small, less than a half inch in length. I only acquire them when I am sitting in heavy vegetation for a long time plucking litter. I often remove them from turtles that I have rescued on local roads. Will get a photo and short video the next time I find them on my boat.

  • are you retired?

  • @PivotNinjaSingh not yet, but have come close. Will probably happen some day.

  • Firsties :)
