You're right on how Science is run on facts and truths, whereas religion on stories and tales.

Personally... I never really knew what I believed in at one point, it wasn't quite atheism, but it wasnt anything else? My friend suggested it was the 'god of gaps'. What science cannot prove, i believe religion is there to fill the gaps. The more science proves, the least viable Religion is.

Simply put, religion revolves around what individuals or groups BELIEVE, while science revolves around what someone has PROVEN in a controlled setting. Yes there is "bad science" wherein the setting was not properly controlled or experiments were otherwise corrupted, but good science is unavoidable. If not we'd still believe the Earth was flat.

See, I don't disagree but your point doesn't exactly work in the real world, a theory needs to be tests, a causation needs to be given, variables need to be isolated and operational definitions need to be intensely followed. Wheras we need causation to accept science as fact, religion is based purely on faith, which is without proof or fact. Basically what I am saying is that chucking the two at each other is like fighting a unwinable war, there simply is no point, thanks for the view though.
