those boesmani's are breath taking!, the colours are super bright, i have boesmani's roughly about 11 months old now, how old are yours and how big are they??. mine roughtly 2.5-3 inches
Awesome fish! They look like glowing in the tank! Best wishes to the owner. I have fallen in love for these fish! They are available where i live but i havn't tried keeping a pair. Good fish, good tank setup too!
Correct me if I am wrong but it looks like you have just turned the light on. I am guessing based on the movement and colour of the fish. Mine look like this when I turn the light on at night after it has been off for a couple of hours. If this is what they are like normally then you would have some of the nicest boesemani I have ever seen.
@FlightlessWish some rainbowfish are fine as community fish. The boesemani in this video are ok with other large fish like angels etc. Keep them away from anything that will fit in their mouths. incisus rainbowfish are a bit more aggressive so keep them out of community tanks unless the other fish are larger or you have plenty of other rainbows. cheers
@adamonthetube Thank you. This helped. But I am afraid I'm not good at keeping fish. So do you know a good starter fish for someone who's only had bettas?
@FlightlessWish Hey mate, I think everyone has been afraid of keeping fish at some stage. I think if you aren't afraid then you don't care. So what I'm saying is you will make a good fish keeper because you care. Just read good reference material and join helpful forums (there aren't many). Rainbows are one of the easiest fish to keep if you follow some important rules. Don't overfeed, quarantine before putting them in main tank, and regular water changes of about 15 to 20% weekly. cheers
@adamonthetube I meant not "afraid" I meant I don't like to admit it. But I have read a lot and helped out my sister with her goldfish so I guess that's good. I will probably go with the rainbow fish when I save up enough to get all the supplies they need.
@FlightlessWish I would say out of all the fish I have kept, the ones with the least disease issues have been rainbows. They are as easy to keep as livebearers but much prettier and more interesting, and can live for about 7 years if you treat them well. The only other fish easier to keep is the goldfish. Rainbows (with the exception of the splendida's) won't eat your plants and don't dig gravel and aren't aggressive. The only disadvantage is they can take a while to develop full colour.
Yes I have finally found this video! Haha, I've heard about this video! Gosh, your bosemani's are so amazing, their colour and shape is stunning! How'd you get them to be so beautiful? What colour lighting you use? It's subdued white right? The plants are amazing too,the maintanence must be really hard. Ohh,what I wouldn't give to have my fish tank looking like that..
Awesome colors. I am a huge Denver Bronco Football fan and these fish would be AWESOME to have - plus I recently started loving the rainbow fish. Any good websites or books that I can read to learn more about the rainbow fish? Thanks.
Wow, where do you get Boesemani that are orange. I have only see vidid blue with yellow never this dark with orange. Are we just deprived here in the U.S. or is there somone in the u.s. who has Bos's with these brilliant colorations?
