I have the RB-81 and The first time I unplugged my sub to listen to them by them self I had to double check to see if I had properly turned off my sub because the crossover on them is down to 45hz. They have great bass reproduction. I also have the RC-10 center rb-10 rear and the Jamo 6510 sub. I have a video on my channel of my old set up I will have a new one by mid of next week of my new klipsch setup
i know rotary subs can play that low but out of interest if they tried to make a single cone subwoofer play down to 1hz how big would it have to be?
i think excursion has to increase x4 every time the octave/hz halves (not sure which one) but lets say the excursion limit is 4 inches (since its a huge sub) and you wanted 100db output, how big would it have to be??
Yes, I just checked that sub out yesterday and I want it! 7500watts if im correct! (One of their subs have that much power, I believe its the signature 25) It even suggests a 240 volt outlet LOL. Insane subwoofer, 9hz would create an inaudible EARTHQUAKE! WOW I CAN FEEL IT ALREADY! =D ! Peanut butter sandwich!
Be careful lol, I have noticed once you get down to like 10hz, and push too much power to it, the sub doesnt move as much as it should and it cant cool the coil properly and you can burn it up (atleast with cheap speakers this is the case). Nice speakers though! the human ear can only hear from 20khz - 20hz =P so I dont know if your trying to hear a 1hz tone. The lowest ive seen a sub play is the Supercube trinity which goes down to 10hz! insane lol.
Can't beat the look, feel, overall quality. Boasting clear, clean Tractrix highs, perfectly balanced midrange and tight boomless bass!! The weight of the floorstanders say it all.... solid foundation for superior sound.
PS--Bang for the buck, they will rival speakers in sound quality twice the price with no problem.
becareful man, low frequncy at the incorect impedance can over heat the vioce coil, but im sure the reciever is doing a good job =p, klipsch are nice!!!
I have one advice for you: if you place the speakers at least 3-4 feet or more from the back walls the you will get more (and accurate) bass! It worked well with my RF-63's!
nice! i have the RF-35s (basically the old model of the RF-82s) and have never seen my drivers move that much.... I'm gonna have to try something like this :D
You CANT hear 1hz tones. They are below audible range. Second, Klipsch is made in the US. They make bose sound like a vibrating tin can, and be careful, MOST of the ones online are imitations and not actually Klipsch.
You think you can lol. Your most likely hearing a distortion or other present frequency thats above 20. Or maybe you can! =O I dunno! I can only hear high frequencies unto 18.7khz =( Ive blown my ears out with so much loud music through the years..
I tried with a set of cheap headphones, 8 hz, but it was distortion, and 20khz, but I've given myself some hearing problems working on motorcycles and blowing stuff up.
their from Europe but you can get them in the US 2 i just got mine last week still gotta connect them but those fuckers are load so i had to buy them and heavy ass fuck...worth the money its almost like bose
Im gonna use denon avr1708 receiver cost about $999 us dollars im not sure you can get it cheaper.......for the speaker wire im gonna use the one they used on cars just buy a roll from an audio store
just did some research u can get it cheaper i got that price from their web site...i got mine for free just for buying the whole set i safe lots of money
good, not super deep to where it can shake the house, but accurate and in a well placed area would be sufficient for many uses. work great for most music without a sub, but in movie environment I would recommend a good subwoofer as well.
ok, I just wanted to find out more... lol... so I played some rap music and at a fairly good volume (not deafening) I actually felt the punch in my chest from like 6 feet. I guess I didn't give the bass enough credit. I run with huge supplemental sub systems for bass so I don't normally turn off the subs. They are pretty good by themselves though.
Look out for those 1Hz sine waves. You won't do any damage to your woofers but you stand a really good chance on frying your tweeters. Capacitors have no impedance to a frequency that low and will send all that current straight to your tweeters. Ask me how I know.
I appreciate the heads up... what can I say, young and dumb :-p Fortunately, everything is fine and I still LOVE these speakers. btw, what did you do to yours?
A long time ago in my room in my parents house far far away.....I too wanted to watch my woofers go in and out really slow and thought it looked cool until I smelled something burning. I took a sniff of the woofers and they were fine. The tweeter however was not so lucky. After I noticed the strong smell I played some music and the tweeter was significantly softer due to voice coil damage. I then just ran a tweeter test really loud to blow it all the way and smoked it real good.
Dude, you need to invest into the older Klipsch Legendary Series floor standing speakers. Run about $1,500 a piece, but they are the best floor standing speakers youll find.
klipsch is the best. I've never heard the RF series only the synergy. you should make another video with them playing some music or a movie, i wanna see what they can do.
klipsch is isnt necessarily the best....but they are very efficient speakers with high sensitivity ratings, typical of horn tweeters. Very metallic, bright and harsh tinny kind of sound.

does that only happen if the impediance is too high?

low sounds doesnt mean more tempereture, its higher towards the middle low at the treble and bass

I don't think thats 1hZ, because I can barely hear sound coming out of the speakers.

Humans cant hear below 20 or 15. I think cats or dogs can hear that low.
LickMyLama 3 years ago
u can its just needs to be sinificantly louder, 20hz is only an average, so it really deends on your ear, but i can as low as 16 when im near a wall

You should be careful with such nice speakers man. 1hz sine could maybe fudge the woofers or the amp. Or both!
