Are these snakes dangerous? Because me and my friends saw a black racer much larger than this. 4 ft plus. When we got near it whiped its tail similar to what a rattle snake dose.

I still have a black racer in my back yard.

It lived for years since we moved here.

They are not poisonous and they eat insects or something that I can't think of.

I saw it still here today when I was in my yard shooting cans with my BB gun. It was lifting its head, and it looked like it was watching me shoot cans. lol

I'm still a big pussy, because they move fast. Whenever I hear it slither very fast on the grass, I still freak out.

dude me and my friends were airsofting (fuck that moved on to pb) and i was standing on my friends wall and fell of into a bush and one of those ran out. freaked the shit outta me. just glad it wasnt a rattler

In the state of Ohio, the Black Racer Snake is our State Reptile.  It's illegal to kill a Black Racer Snake here.
