He isn't shinny for a pit, they look like that while they are young, people mistakenly overfed them because they look smaller but actually they don't look bigger until they are a year old. He is adorable and perfectly healthy. He also should learn to wait for his food, a dog has to have patience. (((:

@kristinebby89 he is much older now and trust me he waits for his food. if i dont give the eat OK command he will not eat his food even if i walk away all day the food will still be in front of him. this one time my wife put out his food before she went to work then when i went to check on him 2-3 hrs later his food was sitting right in front of his nose so he must have not heard my wife say OK to eat it. i asked her why he didnt eat it she said she said OK the dog must have not heard her LOL.

@kristinebby89 Our dogs years ago when puppies were slowed down with their food to, in the end our german shepherd of then would do what the dog did there, eat a bit of her food walk and and come back later for the other bit, she had dog biks to and she would only eat them when she wanted them, once her mate came round he was al alsation, he ate all her biks within mins and she looked at her bowl and looked at him as if to say, you greedy sod.

i love the method of hand feeding, no bowl. putting the food in your fist and having him sit nicely for each bite, and when giving the food they dont get it until she do not touch their teeth to your hand, only nuzzle or lick. this controls how fast they eat and makes them learn that food comes from you. also the "focus" or 'look at me" command is awesome when doing this, move your hand away from you and say look at me. lots of metal stimulation here. =]

he only looks like this when he eats. what buddy will do is open his mouth and vacuum the food in so his stomach looks small and you see his ribs. if you listen i hardly hear any chewing from buddy.
