@cierrakinney you dont really land on your head because if youre scared, your instinct will tell you to put your hands down while youre trying to do the aerial to prevent landing on your head. the worst that can happen is that you will stick the landing incorrectly and lose balance

@batman12191 no. I've been in gymnastics for as long as I can remember. Although some coaches tell their gymnasts to keep their arms tucked together, mine did not. If you tuck your arms in you could fall in some freak accident. With your arms tucked in you wouldn't be able to catch yourself. With arms out you could easily catch yourself and you can lunge in the end with your arms up. All the people u compete against put their arms in and they get a deduction. @ihategomez no lol. that's absolutely wrong. what he said was right, you through the hand back to give you momentum as well as throwing your leg upwards to give you momentum. if anything you keep your hands folded towards your chest, an airplane or T position creates wind resistance and slows you down. I know this because I've been doing gymnastics since I was 4.
