Wow. That was fantastic I think your guitar is beautiful, and your playing. As a Takamine owner I must say, Martin seem to have finally cracked it in terms of reproducing their sound. Dare I say it but they may even have gone a step further.
@mauibuilt75 yes it was plugged via an Apogee Duet to my Mac and recorded with Logic. The sound comes from the guitars inbuild Aura system. I only added a slidly Hall-effect to it within logic.
hello, just added this to my favourites, don't know the song but your interpretation is great. Looking to buy this guitar in the UK, steep price even used here, over $3000 but after your video, it convinced me this is the right one to get and plug in. don't want to sell it do you !!!!
@telefan2 thank you very much for this nice comment. You realy should check also other martin models by yourself in a store before you invest some serious money. I like my guitar but I am not sure if the price for it is fair or not. Oh and i modified it with a self made bone saddle so the sound of your OMC will be a bit different. ;)
Would be great if you would share a sound example with me when you got your guitar! :)
Plainly said, that's just , "very nice". It almost carries me away into dream. Kind of like flying over a beautul green countryside. Very nice! Thank you.
@mrfester42 Wow, that realy is a great comment! I always be in a certain mood when I do music. Music for me means to express emotions. When I create this composition I thought about tree trunks, moss coatet roots in a morning fog...The impression of a flight over a beautiful countryside gets me to the point that I played it too fast. Your feedback was very helpful for me and I am happy that i touched somebody in the same way as I thought about it myself. Thank you very much! :)
@jmbob2000 What it boils down to is this. If someone likes what you do, enjoy it and don't read anything into it. If they don't like it, say to yourself, "Oh well, they missed the good in it". You threw the smile their way... they just didn't see it. You're not responsible for that. Peace!
@mrfester42 I totally agree with you. I just was surprized about your comment as you discribe it like a picture quite similar to what I had in my head and in a way how I "feel" and "live" music. But I always get nervous when I press the record button and do a lot of mistakes. Therefore I need a lot of tries to get at least a version which is ok, more clinical as it was mentioned before. But anyway it still seems to work and I am happy that some people still get it. :)
@jmbob2000 wow amazing sound, iam an electic guy getting into acoustic can you recommedn any good books with acoustic tunes tabbed out like this one, believe it or not i cant find any decent material to learn!!
@strabbs1 Thank you very much for your nice feedback! :) I cannot recomment any books about playing acoustic guitar as I never checked them out. There are plenty of very good guitar players on youtube showing some of there techniques very detailed and well explained. If you are new to fingerstyle "Travis picking" might be a good starting point for you and worth to seek for on youtube. Best regards, jmbob2000 ;)
@mrfester42 As I get older I'm trying to get into the habit of telling peole that I appreciate what they're doing if what they're doing seems sincere to me. It's too easy to complain... even though I still do that as well. Their was no thought involved in my reaction to your playing. It just hit me that way. The feeling of flying was a relaxing thing for me. It had absolutely NOTHING to do with the tempo that you were playing it in. Besides, if it's right for you, then it wasn't too fast!
:( i just sold my D41 as needed the cash then i see this.... now i want an omc aura! Sounds even better than the d41 and i didnt think that was possible! What are you playing, something you made up? Love it x
@dayslikethis82 It really is a pity that you have had to sell your D41! 8( Well, I never owned a D41 so I cannot compare them. The OMC Aura is a very versatile guitar as the build in Fisher system delivers a lot of different tone colours. But this is only an advantage when playing connected to an amp or computer. If you like to play dry there might be a more cheaper Martin guitar available with a similar or even better sound. Check them out in your local store and you will find your baby. :)
@dayslikethis82 Btw: It is my own interpretation of the intro of "Find the cost of freedom" by CSNY. I like the beginning of that song a lot but unfortunately it is quite short. So I added my own ideas to it and just keept the first chords as the basic theme. My playing style is different to the original song too, I am far away from the skill level of Stephen Stills or Neil Young. :P But I am happy that you like it anyway. Thank you very much! :)
@jmbob2000 well love the tune! I've been playing for years and still cant play very well.... and i have expensive taste! What i mean is, that even though i can't play very well i can still appreciate sound quality! I want one of these! Please put more vids up... :)
@prom3th I plugged it directly to my apogee duet and reckorded it with logic. I used one of the presets of the guitar and only leveled down the lows with an equalizer within logic and add a bit reverb to it. But you also can create your own presets on the guitar to fit the sound to your needs. It is really a nice guitar but a bit expensive imho. You should definately check out different models of Martin guitars in a store and I bet you will find the right one for you. They are great! :)
@Ph4l4ng3 It is always great to read that somebody likes one of my videos so I know that it was worth to make and share it! Thank you very much! :)
As my equipment grows from a simple webcam to a more serious gear now I like to spent some effort to get a good result out of it...but i have to confess that I still need a lot to learn and as you also can hear that I need to practice more on my guitar too. ^^

Amazing. Perfect from the first note to the last one. I keep playing the video over and over.
I didn't know "Find the cost of freedom" but, in my opinion, it is way better than the original.
I also like the great effort you put into the quality of your videos.
So i can't wait to hear and see what's next.
