i am planning to buy my first console after my ancient PS2. as my primary gaming rig is my PC, i want console just for console exclusive titles. I am a xbox 360 fanboy as its cheap, mods are available and it uses standard DVD discs. i dont want blu ray, no multimedia features so PS3 had very little chance of choosing it over xbox. but today i saw GOW3 review at IGN. i had played GOW 1 and 2 on my PS2 and lovd it.

@ps3or360idontknow, i couldnt get into uncharted 2 at all. it was all about platforming. the action was too average for me. the graphics, story, and voice-overs were all good but it's the gameplay i'm always after the most and the combat was just meh.

So much crap I ran out of space describing it as for the button mashing yes Kratos has lots of combos however I found it pretty much pointless to learn how and when to do them since by the time u get them ur so used to simply button mashing, and also the only two weapons worth using are the blades of exile and the cestus simply because the other two are pretty much copycats of the blades and by the time u get them u will have already upgraded the blades making them vastly superior to its clones

dude I had a glitch where the path to hapeastus turned to a pit of death I had one where the fire titan didnt smash open the way to the ballista that u use to shoot helios with I also had a glitch where posiedon's hand swipe could magically fly through gia's solid stone finger, and I once fell through the middle of her solid stone hand right in the middle of the fight. And the frame rate drop happened when ur fighting Zeus and gia comes and eats u...it lasted five minutes and it was terrible
I don't see why people gush over this game it's good but I regularly encountered glitches or frame rate drops and I button mashed through almost the entire game
And sure you can play button mashing style but you don't have to XD Cratos has over 100 combos and different weapons. i feel sorry that played it like that

@srujay I got both consoles.. 1 years before things were equal. Lately microsoft doesn't give a fuck about the core players and now they are all kinect and stuff.. If i don't see any good games except for halo and gears that are played traditionally by controller my xbox is leaving the house and i am keeping the ps3 only. There aren't many favourable reviews around for this game. A lot of reviewers complain that it's just "more of the same". I'm glad Gamespot gave it a good review. It's the best God Of War ever in my opinion. Everything is pushed to the max, the sense of scale, the amount of boss battles, the gory finishers. I played all of the games from the beginning and even I didn't expect it to be so awesome!

I got a ps3 and this is one of the 1st games I got definately fun but kinda boring half way through the game since you go back to some of the old areas.
I had a PS2 a God of war 1 and 2 where just great!! 2 was way better, ive played God of war 3 and it awsome hands down.. I dont own a ps3 for the fact that i wouldnt trade halo and gears for God of war...i can live without God of war but i just dont imagine myself living with halo or gears period..

@alexislol321 believe it or not ps3 does have its share of problems, you just have to be lucky enough not to get them, type ps3 slim problems, but at least you can get a 2 year warranty with an already 1 year with sony then its with gamestop, if it breaks they give you a brand new one, i think its awesome, for 2 years(40$), can't get better than that

I had a PS2 a God of war 1 and 2 where just great!! 2 was way better, ive played God of war 3 and it awsome hands down.. I dont own a ps3 for the fact that i wouldnt trade halo and gears for God of war...i can live without God of war but i just dont imagine myself living with halo or gears period..

@mendeskt2 I don't need to check my facts. I own both consoles. Go play Bayonetta (one of my favorite games) on a 360 and then on a PS3, for example. From what I have seen, 360 has better graphics.

It's not like the gameproducers(the ones actually creating the graphic content) sat down and made the graphics better on 360 than ps3. geeeese

@SheepNorway whoa calm down...I just said that I, personally, have had a better experience with my Xbox than my PS3. In my opinion, the graphics in 360 looked better. That's my perception. And Bayonetta was just a small example of a better experience. I didn't use that example to state that 360 has better graphics overall. You misunderstood me.

i have both consoles and i love both. gow3 owns all games on xbox hands down but xbox has good selection of other good exculsves both consoles are awesome quit bitching.

let killzone sukk...! but UNCHARTED 2 IS AWESOME..ONE OF THE BEST GAMES IVE EVER PLAYED..!!! ps3 is better than XBOX 360...cuz it has blu ray..!!! GOD OF WAR 3 Took 35 gig of blu ray space..u can never do dat on a XBOX :P so suck on dat xbox !

@Yellowcard00 lol xbox better graphics???? WTF are you smokin!!?!?????? Ps3 has native 1080 resolution, not the shitty 360 upscale! Ps3 has Blu Ray, which means there can be more definition. It's simple, just compare it to an hd dvd movie. You don't have both. I've played both and they are certainly not even at all. Xbox isn't a bad console. It's for casual gamers, that's all. The graphics may be cute, but that doesn't make them better. In Ps3, they're just maxed out specs

@Yellowcard00 And there's actually an irrefutable proof: There's a ps3 vs xbox comparison with Final Fantasy XIII, in which xbox actually photoshoped it so that it would look exactly like ps3. Some dude found it and knew that those weren't xbox graphics, so he uploaded the real pic. You should look it up.

@Yellowcard00 Dude, some 3rd Party PS3 games can be worser than Xbox, not all. But you seen freaking Uncharted 2? It's a 3rd party game and it's 10x better than Halo Reach. The first party games amazing, Killzone 3 has killer graphics way better than what the xbox will EVER accomplish. Seriously PS3 has better graphics, but it depends on the games.

geting of of these abd boys ps3 for x-mas...all this time i had a 360,but now i see ps3 is beter...no overheating probs no RRODS shit... ( yeah i hade my share of 360 problems ) so whene i finaly get the ps3 for x-mas with this game ofc....i will play the living shit out of it

@alexislol321 believe it or not ps3 does have its share of problems, you just have to be lucky enough not to get them, type ps3 slim problems, but at least you can get a 2 year warranty with an already 1 year with sony then its with gamestop, if it breaks they give you a brand new one, i think its awesome, for 2 years(40$), can't get better than that
