This animation is from "L'Opéra imaginaire" (1993). The song is "Noi siamo zingarelle" of Verdi . Guionne Leroy made the film.

Years ago Phillips had i interactive system called the CD-I. It never made it. It was taken from the market due to the succes of the CD-rom and the PC. But for this CD-I system a interactive CD was made with among others this animation. All classical themes with different animations. I still have this CD but can not play it any longer. Such a same. Happy to have found this on youtube!!!

Who made this animation? We need more classical music and more videos like this in our times...It takes me back to periods of purity and innocence...Even though, I have never experienced them...Socially at least..(Isn't it wonderful that I can post this comment here and share it with humans all over the world? You have written the whole truth. If people just listened to good and valuable music, and if they could find property in such sounds like in Verdi's operas, this crazy "global village" would be much better. I think we are listening too much that stupid politicians and "lords of the world" say. What they say is ALL rubbish. I love Verdi so much and his works are timeless. La Traviata, Aida, Il Trovatore, Nabucco, to me this is pure gold.

Why don't composers write this kind of music anymore? I just finished a work for piano and orchestra in the romantic tradition, "Symphonic Variations After a Theme of Cesar Franck" here on YouTube but I'm the only composer I know who tries. Today's composers basically "assemble" weird sounds with any sort of object they can find. And the noise!!! If they want to hear what true genius sounds like they should listen to real music like Verdi's. One simple piece. Just listen to the gorgeous music.
