Music is love, and if anyone who really loves their children, I hope they give one music instrument , so that they can learn and appreciate the beautiful nature of the world. Life is too harsh most of the time, but when hear the beautiful songs like John Denver's, then it calms you down.
I met John Denver in Oct 1982 while on the DMZ in Korea.... He came up to Warrior base to do a mini USO show for the 1/31st Infantry.. What a gent ! He took the time to talk to the soldiers and to shake hands.. a class act ! R.I.P John.
Wow Michelle, this is a beautiful slideshow. I really loved the transition affects you used. The photos and John's voice just blend together. Just superb! Thank you for sharing it with me.
This is my favourite song written and performed by John Denver. I would dearly love to have seen him in concert. I have just finished reading his autobiography 'Take Me Home ' and this video is perfect as a companion to it and I think he would have been so pleased with the scenery, animals, birds, lakes, rainbows and mountains etc. I can just see his face light up with delight at the views. I am now going to try to get the ' Evening With John Denver ' album which I believe this version is from.
Thank you for your comment I am glad that you are reading his book. It is a must for all fans. And yes this comes from an Evening With John Denver album. I keep going back to this album to make my videos and slideshows. Of all of the albums of his that I own this one has the most positive energy. I believe that it was a time in his life that he was the happiest.
I actually saw John in concert three times. If your ever in Aspen check out the sanctuary along the river. The power of his songs inscribed on the rocks is a moving and powerful reminder of the greatness of what he was.
Wonderful video!! That "Evening With" CD is priceless, and this song...it just continues to one of John's most beloved. Love the pictures that you selected to go with the slideshow. Just beautiful.
Thank you for your comment. And yes I do agree that the "Evening With JD" is an Awesome album!!! I keep going back to it for my slide shows. I wish that I could get my hands on the "Live In London" recording.
You're welcome. I had the "Live In London" album when it first came out, and I have no idea what happened to it...ugh!! And it's not readily available.
i LOVE This Old Guitar and I agree with the others about the slideshow-its fantastic, keep up the good work, thanks for posting and sharing this video, regards,Arlene.

What's with the eagle's? Why can't you recognise the true beauty of this song and keep the nationalist horse-shit out of the picture?

Many thanks to Stephanie for this warm video.
Only John's pure voice can sing his songs.
Five stars isn't enough.
