when i do this i make all the things but when i wanna play wut my bro the controls of the player 2 are not configured so when we play he only can move and turn de camera but he cant change the guns , take guns, shot nothing help me please!!!

i cant get this work, i hve the Ps2 controller, i can walk with the analog stick, i can do everything except look, i dont know how to fix this, the right analog stick is acting as those buttons to the right and those buttons (box etc,) doesnt do anything

@gac3la go to the options, keyborad and at the bottom of it is the button "advanced". There you have to check "Turn on the developer console" or something like that. Then just hit the button under Esc and there you go.

@gac3la geez, first step is to allow developer console. You can do this in options. I described it to you in my previous post.

@gac3la i had that problem too, it anoyed the hell out of me... I founded a solution, however. **WARNING** before you do this, make sure you have a copy of the Left4dead2 Exe file (the one you use for your launch (not the left4dead2 launcher!!) ) You edit the name of the left for dead 2 file and add -console with a space between 2 and -. If you use that file (the left 4 dead 2 -console) you'll automaticly have the console open.

@mattbargate Have you tried to use another cfg than for PS3? I am using PS2 controller and it works fine. And one dumb question: have you written "exec 360conroller" into console?

@MrAndrecostinha Geez, few comments below I said that first player plays with keyboard/mouse and second plays with gamepad. So easily do what I say in video and download controller pack from description. There is xbox controller file in the pack.

@J4s0n44Anborn problem is if i were to play split screen with another person in the same room, one would have to use controller and the other a keyboard-mouse. So that wouldn't be fair now would it.

@WhoaThatWasAwesome I know that it isn't fair, but if you would practise with controller, it could be easy as using mouse. And that's why i play coop, so that one with mouse supports controller-using player.

hi to everyone. I've got a problem. Me and my friend wanna play L4D at the same computer, by splitting screen. We've 1 normal keyboard and normal joystick(Kontorland), not 360 controller. We tried so many variation but it doesn't work. I mean, it works but the joystick and keyboard control the same player, 1st player. And we have never activated the 2nd player. Does anyone has an idea? Thank you

Somehow on my PS3 Controller moving the analog stick to the right turns where I am looking, fine, but also melees.

When I turn the right analog stick to the left it shoots as well as looking left.

Can anyone help?

well, i showed it there, go to options - Keyboard/mouse and set the developer console to enabled, then only hit the ; button. It is under the Esc button.

oh and what tends to happend is that i exec the player 2 controller nd then my player 1 keyboard keys just disapear so i have to go into keyboard controls adn rdo them all ;O

well, you have exec the cfg file only at first time, or when you edited the file and customized controlls. But when I did exec it, my keyboard controlls didn't change, so I think that this problem is on your side, in your computer. Try to not exec it next time and if your controller will work, then you have won :)

well i furgured it out, what would happend is that i do exec player 2 controls and my keyboard would fuck up so i simply did exec config which is different from config_default (default would fuck up the controlelr) and it works perfectly thanks a lot
