Clint Buchanan was GORGEOUS yummy yummy. I can see why D@ V took a liking to the handsome man of around 40 at the time. She should have invited Clint to stay at Llanfair at the time(meaning he was new in town) where was he staying? made no point to stay at a hotel he was barely at. Yes there truly was no dude on daytime tv like Marco before his time. and this was befor Luke Spencer's character was even PENNED. There was also Benny Sago on AMC, males were still conventinal back then.

I have been saying it for the last several years that OLTL truly SUCKS now!!! But you've got those "fans" who just LOVE sickening Todd and stupid Blair and their same old same old crap, Tea who NEVER should have been brought back, not to mention the idiotic teens, Markko, Langston, Starr and Cole, and all of their foolishness just really makes a once great show look so BAD!! OMG, Dorian looks so young!!! lol, this IS 30 years ago. So she was in her very early 30's. Ha, I'm like crying because it's so amazing. I'm only almost 15, but grew up on this show, and it makes me so close to the characters! But this is great, thanks for this. :D

Yeah, that's the problem with today's soaps. They don't have good actors or plots anymore like in this clip here. That's why they will continue to lose a vast majority of their core audience ages from 35 to 60. Trying to appeal to a younger audeince, putting too many "teens" as you rightfully so pointed out in these stupid plots and putting their veteran characters on the back burner. Guiding Light is about to be cancel, and other soaps will soon meet their demise as well, sad to say.

You are 100% currect. The weirdest thing is they continue to do what isn't working. I always thought it was common sense. "If something isn't working, you do something different. It's sad what happen to GL, but it's their own fault. Yet, they want to blame the fans for not watching. Fans have been telling them for years what they want to see, but they ignore them. I watched soaps when I was a teen, but it was because the grown up characters kept me interested. Not because teen storylines.

I find it very difficult to watch OLTL now, and I only watch it for Viki, Dorian and Bo. So sad to see how this once great soap has deteriorated like all the others. I can remember watching this with my mom from the early '80s onward, especially in the mid '80s when Viki/Niki and Tina were doing their thing. So true that too much emphasis is on teens and younger charcaters, which for me doesn't make for good viewing. Characters are no longer human and plots are no longer enthralling.

I knew I wasn't crazy there are really others who see how OLTL is digging its own grave. I am 30 I have been OLTL since 1985 and its 2009 OLTL IS HORRIBLE. That serial killer s/l with powell lord and rebecca lewis was such a big let down. Why in the hell would those iodiotic writers recast the role of rebecca?? They said we would be shocked by the reveal of the serial killer WRONG. Karen wolek, Gabrielle medina, and now this horrible jess/tess/bess baby switching.

cont- Killing off Gabrielle was the worse thing they could have done. Coincidentally in 2003 while gabrielle was still on the show OLTL won the emmy for best daytime drama. I have many gripes with this show Starr, cole, langston, marko all horrible boring characters and s/l. Cole's drug s/l is not even believable. Are ready for this guess who rex's mysterious father is are u ready for this shit SPENCER TRUMAN. Not sure if know who he is OLTL WILL be following GL to cancellation.

Yes, that is Linda Dano, who portrayed Gretel Cummings from 1978-1980, then returned to OLTL to play the same character (renamed "Rae") from 1999-2004. AW fans will also recognize Jacqueline Courtney (Alice Matthews Frame), Gerald Anthony (Rick Madison) and of course, Robin Strasser who originated the role of Rachel Davis.

Didn't know the late Gerald Anthony got his start on AW(or was at least in AW(those must've been during the REAL early days of AW(Gerald joined OLTL in late '77) Did Dorian and Pat goe toe to toe the way Alice and Rachel did on OLTL?(Pat was sugary sweet as Alice and Dorian could do glamorous but evil like Rachel as well) Dorian would've been Pat's stepmother-in-law on here. Whew!

Actually, Gerald Anthony joined AW in the early 90's so it was after his stint on OLTL. I believe he also directed several epi's of AW in the 80's.

It must've been a short term role. The reason I know this is because he left OLTL(for the final time in 1990) and was on GH by July of 92. meaning he spent no more than 2 years on AW. Was he a bad guy? good guy? and he must've directed AW after his 85/86 exit.

Oh, Anthony's "Rick Madison" was definitely a bad guy (he was behind the infamous Jenna porn vid). He was on AW from Nov. 91 ~ June 92.

@imachildofthe80s8089 YES! I never saw Jackie v Robin on AW but I DID see it on OLTL. I remember vividly after Pat's twin MAggie tried to impersonate her. BLOWOUT scenes! PAT: "You have the nerve to try and steal my show away from me, wll let me tell you something, you're not going to get away with it!" DOR: "Tell me, Pat, how was it your schizophenic sister was able to impersonate you so well. All she had to do was smile, and toss her blonde wig, and we had the anyone can be Pat Ashley Show".

Yeah Linda's second go-round on OLTL was rather dull. She didn't do much for me(maybe it was me) plus I hated the fact that she was on ALL The shows. It was always the role of flamboyant Felicia Gallant that she will best be remembered for(1982 to it's show's cancellation in 99)
