  • fabulous technique! great!

  • AWESOME TECHNIQUE though the AUDIO SUCKS -_-

  • of the several players of this piece on youtube, i think this guy is the best....i just get so immersed when he plays it

  • amazing

  • ingenius creation. This is great

  • This is a pieces of extreme difficulities. I adore the player.

  • ... was that Stravinsky himself passing in front of the camera ...

  • fantastic technique. you have such freedom in your playing!

  • la toca genial *-*

  • Lol at the way his fat cheeks jiggle.

  • @OriginalBasaliskos jiggle jiggle wiggle

  • @OriginalBasaliskos : well dat´s wisdom for you ... probably Debussy´s also ... and look at footage of the great violinists such as Oistrakh ...

  • Idk why but this music reminds me of Tolstoy's "The Cossaks"...

  • i don't know but it feels like i'm in a whole diffrent timeline

  • @nabnutsy : ... a timeline of your own creation (OR SOMEONE ELSE´S) ... ?

  • might just be the recording that sounds too bright.....

  • Great performance but the piano is just a bit too bright sounding for the piece I think. Does anybody know the make?

  • BRAVO!!!!!

I love this throw 's feel!!!

  • I love how he really throws that glissando up there! I've been waiting for someone to do that. :) This is awesome.

  • Jesus Christ. And that was from memory, too? =O

  • Most people who play complicated music only accomplish it (well) through memorization. It not the exception, but the norm. In cases where music is there it is usually just a token, or a slight reminder in parts here or there, for someone who has not played it in some time. Some people choose not to undergo the intense practice required for true mastery of a piece. One example is Glenn Gould, who could memorize a piece without ever touching a piano. In cases of simpler repertoire, sight reading.

  • @D0g63rt I can agree to that mainly; I've seen countless performances like this where the music is completely from memory, but it just still amazes me how well people get at playing the music completely from memory. I've been playing for awhile, but learning to do something like this is just something that comes with time, I guess.

  • @D0g63rt Well hey, whether it's college, high school, Drum & Bugle Corps, or even middle school (if offered) marching, it can really help with memorization. Considering most of the time you have to memorize the music, it does help. If you're too old for that or not good enough for Drum & Bugle Corps, well. Just practice and go measure by measure!

  • @D0g63rt : Dat´s right !

  • mah dream piece 8D

  • if anyone notices, haha, the pianists cheeks are quite rhythmical

  • lol tooo funny..... good call

  • the piece is fantastic~colorful and imaginary

  • it takes months to practice this and take minutes to play it. oh well..

  • @WhyNne0w Well, over 15 minutes. That's a long time for a piece of music to keep you captivated. I think it's worth it!

  • reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallly fast!

  • i really, really, really, really, really really like this....

  • DAMN!!!!!

  • BRAVÍSSIMO!!

  • I love this interpretation!

  • bravo!!! is vy ns...

  • 全く音楽とかには疎い私ですが、これが素晴らしすぎるってことくらいは、わかります。

  • He's freaking incredible! Handsome as hell on top of it!

  • how big does your hand have to be to play this piece? Im just wondering. or can you practice enough to compensate for having small hands? I dunno.

  • there are a lot of big chords in this, so big hands definitely help, but i guess they're not necessary. i'm playing it now and i (luckily) have abnormally large hands

  • I learned the first movement (Danse Russe) of this piece. At the minimum, your fingers need to be able to stretch a ninth, but to play this comfortably, you should be able to stretch a tenth.

  • Watching his cheeks wobble as he plays is so mesmerizing.......

That said, this is an awesome performance of an awesome piece.

  • és fantástico!!! Petrushka el títere del siglo 20!

  • i looked at the score and... WOW!! BRAVO!!! such a amazingly wide hand. My hand is too small to play this amazing piece

  • damn he's fast.

  • dude our marching band plays this and im sad cuz we got first at st. Louis in silver division and we suck compared to this....

  • Wonder if that guy does anything else than plays the piano? o.o

    WHAT A PERFORMANCE!

  • WOW. O_O

  • I...think I'm going to like Stravinsky.

  • this guy plays this soooo fast..

  • pretty fucking pro!

  • Muito bom, Luiz!!! Obrigada por postar!! Genial! Emocionante! Obrigada

  • This is said to be the MOST DIFFICULT PIECE EVER WRITTEN !!!

  • it's not THAT hard... it's just really really really hard! im trying it and im stuck on the first 2 pages T_T cuz it's sooooo imposible! but im only 13 so im not completly horable....

  • I hear all the time that this is supposed to be the most difficult piece ever written and I have to say that this is so far from the truth.

Yeah, this piece is hard as hell but there are harder works. Ex. Gowdowsky's Passacaglia is waaaay harder.

  • I don't understand why people are fascinated by how "hard" pieces are. Artur Rubinstein said that he thought it was funny that all of the new breed of pianists can play the "hardest" music ever written and then can't go back and play a Beethoven Bagatelle to save themselves. It doesn't really mean a thing. The score of Petrouchka is complex, but it's much harder to actually get off your arse and take the time to practice.

  • This is an extremely difficult piece to play, let alone play it at this speed!

  • WOW, this performance is startling in a good way! ESpecially the precision of the first few chords....one word, WOW. the sound of the piano is sooo amazing along with the pianist's beautiful technique. THis is a grand performance all right...

  • How absolutley, blindingly, precise. That was brilliant.

  • awesome..... so concise. no note was left meaningless

  • Impresionante

  • this piece shall be the most difficult one in the hole world...........but he plays it so sofly and with a passion.....hes a god........sorry...Iam german and my english isnt like yours.

  • Bravo!! The notes are all captured crystal clear and the contrast is really great and brilliantly portrayed:)

  • love it!

    beautifully played~

  • this has got to be one of the most DIFFICULT piano pieces i have ever heard, and it is so beautiful! you are amazing:D

  • i must agree with you it is a virtuostic piece

  • Bravo!

    Nice interpretation

    High degree of technical virtuosity

  • Please post part 2 and 3! Great job, I want to see it all.

  • part 2 is up and i dont think theres a part 3

  • NICE!!!!!!

  • excellent performance!
