A bit disappointing. I love Peggy Lee, but she played this one for it's rhythmic idiosyncracies instead of the heartbreak in the text. It was a matter of choice, I suppose. .. Doesn't work for me. Sorry, Peg.
one of her last albums for capitol. this beautiful sondhiem song given the lee treatment, and sounding completely fresh. peggy was a true stylist. thanks for this post. when i saw the graphics i thought we were getting something from the mirrors album. maybe next time?
