However, Floyd Rose also make a single locking trem that appears to have made its way onto this strat. So it's not a Floyd Rose, but it's made by Floyd Rose. Looks like you bought either a modified guitar that was customized to be like a strat plus ultra OR you bought a strat plus ultra where they simply kept the neck and sold it to you without the ebony fret board which all strat plus ultras came with. *see encyclopedia online or other online resources.

the blue fender has a floyd rose on it? i didnt see a lock nut or is that a floyd rose designed tremolo non lock? i havent seen one of those from his company
The Floyd Rose 2 is designed to work with the LSR roller nut and locking tuners. You lock the strings in to the saddles with an allen wrench still. Most had a hipshot tremsetter under the tremcover on the back. The tremsetter would prevent the guitar from going out of tune when breaking a string even though the bridge floats.
Beautiful collection !! That Gibson SG is awesome I have always wanted one but they dont come cheap, I just recently picked up a 1993 American fender Strat. maybe somday I will get that SG.

My Les Paul is a re-issue and is not made in 1960. I would never buy a real one even if I had the money. You would need a security guard and insurance every time you played it. Most people only by these old original guitars for Personal Status and to impress other guitar players. The only original I would by is a 1988 and a half- black on black , Lamborghini Quatravalvo with Original silver wheels. RH DSD

No, sorry. They are all my babies. I went thru a guitar phase about 15 years ago and bought them one after another. The Gibson SG is really light, almost feels like it is made of particle board. These guitars are the real deal, but they are not antique models. All of the guitars are about 15 years old. I would highly recommend not to buy a cheap copy, but save up and buy the real thing. At the time , I thought if I added G.Lynch humbuckers to my strat, I could get a Gibson les paul, FAT SOUND. Good theory, but it did not work in practice. They sound good but a bit thin compared to the LEs PAul. RH DSD

This is to "factsof" person about the Epi LP. Save a chunk of $ and buy the Epi but put a Gibson USA pickup in the bridge. Burstbucker #3 is my suggestion. There are others but be smart about it. You've saved 2k, drop $100 on the sound of it. I have 25 guitars. Schecters are super also but might change that bridge PU. Is the 3 PU SG for looks? Get the Epi G-400 and throw a #3 in it. Killer guitar,looks and sound. Peace and enjoy and still having gas money. I've been around.
well for the 3 pick up sg, maybe a 5 way switch would open more possibilities cause i tried stratocaster and maybe gibson usa pickups mixed together would give a pretty good sound, it does look pretty good too. I think ill go for the g-400 thx.
Hey, Remember on any three pick up Gibsons or any guitar with the gibson like humbuckers , the center pick up is always hit by the pick. Just remember that. You have to learn to pick a whole new way and it is a pain to learn. Two gibson pick ups are more than enough to blow the house down. Just a tip, PEACE OUT RH
THe real SG is really light compared to the Les paul. THey have near the same pickups, but the tone is much better on the Les Paul because the pick ups use the thicker wood to resonate better.

Looks like you bought either a modified guitar that was customized to be like a strat plus ultra OR you bought a strat plus ultra where they simply kept the neck and sold it to you without the ebony fret board which all strat plus ultras came with. *see encyclopedia online or other online resources.

Don't you think it's more important to have a guitar which sounds fine and to be able to make it sound fine rather than just needing to have the most expensive guitar one can get?

The Floyd Rose 2 is designed to work with the LSR roller nut and locking tuners. You lock the strings in to the saddles with an allen wrench still. Most had a hipshot tremsetter under the tremcover on the back. The tremsetter would prevent the guitar from going out of tune when breaking a string even though the bridge floats.

Pretty dang awosme man!! You've got all the classics!! 2 Fender and 2 Gibson , thats pretty sweet. Les Pauls are my favorite and the 1960 is my all time favorite. I love Starts to and want one soooo bad just like the Les Paul. Thats a beautiful water blueish color! Really nice. The SG is in perfect condition it looks like! All of them really. God I want either a Strat or a Les Paul. I've allways wanted those. HaHaHa Lamborghini sound , thats a good way of describing it. ROCK ON and nice guitars!

My Les Paul is a re-issue and is not made in 1960. I would never buy a real one even if I had the money. You would need a security guard and insurance every time you played it. Most people only by these old original guitars for Personal Status and to impress other guitar players. The only original I would by is a 1988 and a half- black on black , Lamborghini Quatravalvo with Original silver wheels. RH DSD

No, sorry. They are all my babies. I went thru a guitar phase about 15 years ago and bought them one after another. The Gibson SG is really light, almost feels like it is made of particle board. These guitars are the real deal, but they are not antique models. All of the guitars are about 15 years old. I would highly recommend not to buy a cheap copy, but save up and buy the real thing. You will be glad you did. RH DSD

At the time , I thought if I added G.Lynch humbuckers to my strat, I could get a Gibson les paul, FAT SOUND. Good theory, but it did not work in practice. They sound good but a bit thin compared to the LEs PAul. RH DSD

This is to "factsof" person about the Epi LP. Save a chunk of $ and buy the Epi but put a Gibson USA pickup in the bridge. Burstbucker #3 is my suggestion. There are others but be smart about it. You've saved 2k, drop $100 on the sound of it. I have 25 guitars. Schecters are super also but might change that bridge PU. Is the 3 PU SG for looks? Get the Epi G-400 and throw a #3 in it. Killer guitar,looks and sound. Peace and enjoy and still having gas money. I've been around.

well for the 3 pick up sg, maybe a 5 way switch would open more possibilities cause i tried stratocaster and maybe gibson usa pickups mixed together would give a pretty good sound, it does look pretty good too. I think ill go for the g-400 thx.

Hey, Remember on any three pick up Gibsons or any guitar with the gibson like humbuckers , the center pick up is always hit by the pick. Just remember that. You have to learn to pick a whole new way and it is a pain to learn. Two gibson pick ups are more than enough to blow the house down. Just a tip, PEACE OUT RH

THe real SG is really light compared to the Les paul. THey have near the same pickups, but the tone is much better on the Les Paul because the pick ups use the thicker wood to resonate better.
