but if you turned your passcode off, then whoever the iphone now has (or even finds), can disable the icloud feature without any problems and you will never find your phone again!

This tutorial doesn't say how you can find the "Find my Iphone" application from your computer. This is the only reason why I wanted to watch this video. The video just skips the part where the application is brought up to the screen. Voting dislike because of this. You should probably explain this part as I'm not the only one wondering about this. You can't skip steps in a tutorial.

@opossumgirl13 Brother misplaced his iPad sometime ago. Logged on and found it on the map. Locked it and sent out message that we would be getting it the next day. Show up to get it the next day and the staff was surprised it had this feature. I think he may of been thinking he got himself a new toy. Sucker got it back. It works and should be a must for every owner.

Isn't this feature already available on 4.x iOS? I've been using it for free since it became available. You don't have to install the app to set it up but you do need the free mobileme account. My only gripe is that it's so easy to disable it from settings. Oh and it sends an email to your phone when you are trying to locate it via me.com.  That's just plain stupid. Yeah, let the thief know the phone is being tracked. If I'm totally missing the point of your video, please let me know.

Its a big improvement because now a thief cant delete the find my iphone app, now all apple needs to do is remove the option to turn the feature off, or at least keep it password restricted so if someone tried to turn find my iphone off they would be required to enter a code

You are clueless. The one from the app store has a completely different purpose to the section in settings. The app allows you to find other iPhones, you always set up find my iPhone through the settings, regardless of whether you have the app. Are you actually a developer or did you just buy your UDID of eBay?
