Love the music. Cool sophisticato sax. That's not a typo - I mean 'Sax' that comes in later in the tune. One instrument I could never play well was the sax. Always sounded like flatulence. I envy you. :-)
Going to feature it today on my YT channel, "like", and save to a playlist...and already posted it on facebook~that's how much I love this piece! Love the musical score you wrote for it too. very nice indeed! : D
Why do you write that the music is original? I guess you mean it is an original piece, but if english is your native language, original music means that this is the music that was played AS SHE DANCED. Now, the original clip is silent, I the music sounds a lot more modern than early 1900, am I right? Please change your presentation of the clip because it is INCORRECT. Also - please change from 19th century to 20th century. We now live in the 21st century.
During the silent era there was no physical support for audio recording within the film.
But many movies had original scores to be played during the projection (not during the shooting).
Composing original soundtrack means to write music for a specific movie.
If I had written that the Music was original or that the Score was original, You would have been supposed to underestand that someone found the original score in some library, played and recorded it.
actually, 19th century is right. after all she was born in 1862. she performed the serpentine dance in 1891, and, as long as I know thats still 19th. of course she performed in the 20th also..but, you started it..:)
in the video description it is said that "During the beginning of nineteenth century Loie Fuller begun this experimental dance". it should be "in the beginning of the "twentieth century", right? or Loie would be a centenary lady performing in 1904?
It's a rather long film (the first part). It looks like the real Loie because it is so well performed. But the first Serpentine dance films are eitheir the Annabelle or Carmencita version in 1894 (not sure there is a Carmencita Serpentine), and Serpentine Tanz in 1895 by Skladanowsky. All were copying Loie Fuller, who was already popular. Loie on film appeared later. The second part looks like Annabelle? (her later attempt for Biograph?)
obviously this is a remake

I apologise. "19th century" is wrong.
