@briantheman890 I'm a 'mormon', and I can't think of a better place to promote the church than on clips for music like this, as this is what heaven is going to sound like.
@pwnsomenoob, you can listen to the full length version of Suddenly if you support the artist by buying the CD or at least paying Amazon 99 cents to download the one song Suddenly.
BT is worth more than a 99 cent download, so it's a bargain.
wish Black Hole Recordings didn't take down all the full-length Suddenly video's on youtube. I love the full song so much, now I can't listen to it :(
@fllorence Emmm to be honest BT always does Electronica/ Trance but in a very experimental way to produce it. It's not that this is cheesy or ''electro'' as you said, that would be armin and tiesto nowadays.
first time i listen to this song and i'm shock what a beautiful excellent song WOW i've been listening to bt 4 a very long time as a fan and as dj and i never had heard this song before really it sounds extrodinary...!
I love this song but the radio edit straight-up sucks balls. I hadn't actually heard it until today after a few months of being stuck on the album version, but this edit is truly awful. I know it's not BT's fault. It's a 7-minute song; it has to be cut down to fit on the radio, but it sucks that it has to be that way. It feels really choppy and the changes are too abrupt. There's no flow to it like there is on the original album version.
I just want to know who sings this song, I mean, they say "Lyrics by Christian Burns", but when I listen to it, I just identify BT's voice, so Are they singing together? It's BT's voice and Burns' writting? or Christian Burns just has such a similar voice to BT's?
@garciaelcolombiano Christian sings the chorus and BT sings the verses,Christian also co wrote on Forget Me and The Emergency aswell and u can hear him in the background of Forget Me
Apparently this song is a grower. Didn't find it very interesting first time around. I think this and Le Nocturne De Lumiere are gonna be listened to death.
I don't listen to this as an elctronic.trance...whatev type of music thing, I just hear a truly brilliant musician who's range is nothing short of epic and sonically incredible! I heard the Ferry Corsten remix just last night here in Denver at a huge 'rave' and it just destroyed the crowd...the whole dance floor just exploded!!! The musical talent, range and expanse he has in just awesome!
@matthewme23 This is indeed, Beautiful music. It is kinda like a techno trance, But its hard to explain what this amazing piece of music really is, Because it is just so many things.

Yes, they are different styles. I know I sound harsh, but I say he's pissing away his talent because he's making pop songs that aren't any better than anyone else's pop songs - these songs are a dime a dozen. When he focused on electronica (IMA, ESCM, parts of MISL, TBU), he was doing stuff head and shoulders above most other artists. His choice of styles for ET and THM is baffling to me - like Michael Jordan playing baseball for a few years during his prime - not a good use of his talent
I think that's kind of a blunt statement.. music is constantly evolving and BT kinda sets the tone for that. You know as well as I do that BT makes albums which are close to pop (ET, THM, MISL) and albums which are not (TBU, ESCM, Ima). Besides, Ima was way better imo than ESCM.
I know I might sound harsh, but it is how I feel. When an artist moves from electronica to pop, IMHO, he is devolving, not evolving. Pop is old, tired, has been around much longer. MISL, IMHO had some pop elements, but nothing like ET and now THM. Godspeed and Mercury/Solace were BT at the top of his game. Running Down the Way Up, Dreaming, while somewhat poppy, were compelling because they weren't just cookie cutter pop songs, IMHO. I'd say the same for Remember.
I miss hypnotizing tracks like Godspeed,, Mercury and Solace. I can't believe these masterpieces were made by BT. Electronic Music is capable sucking someone into it's journey of buildups and breakdowns. I can't enjoy this song from an electronic perspective. Does nothing for me. Maybe from a 'pop' perspective, but pop doesn't move me. My opinion.
@symmetrynone I hear ya, BT was/is an all time favorite producer of mine, but he has definitely shifted around with his style... lots more lyrics... and I miss the dream state his older music would put me in when I listened to it. The good thing is, his quality still shines through the lyrics. We might just have to wait for a good remix to come along that ditches a majority of the vocals :)
@symmetrynone True... but a guy's gotta make a living, and I bet he needs to do this to appeal on a wider level. If it means he can get money to keep his studio going and still work on the kind of tracks that were in Binary Universe... I'm all for it.
maybe check out the Ferry Corsten remix. It doesn't have the guitar. I like it a lot. But I don't "hate" lyrics like some Electronica purists. I prefer songs w/o them, but this is one song where I think they improve the song rather than take away from it.
Oh I am sorry for voicing an opinion. I think BT's one talented guy. Way above many other producers. But this is just a waste of his abilities. I won't walk away cos I know he'll flash a bit of his genius at us now and then.
Besides, how can you say I don't appreciate his music when I'm urging people to listen to TBU in full 5.1?
Haha I wonder if the people who call themselves 'fans' actually realise just what it is BT is capable of producing. To the average clubber this track is great but like I say, for BT, this is pants.... PS. Emotional Technology sucked monkey balls.... lol.
Well quite. Doesn't matter how many stutter effects and granular rubbish you use. If the end result sounds like chuff does that mean I should still enjoy it due to all the technical achievements? By some people's logic this should mean the Day After Tomorrow was a brilliant movie when in fact, it was shite.
Everyone has every right to critique the music. They wouldn't be critiquing the music if they weren't fans. I don't think BT wants to lose fans, asking people to "walk away" isn't very helpful.
Ugh, I feel guilty saying this as I have met Brian once. Very nice guy, but, I don't like his voice in this though. Too whiny. Maybe that's the feel of the song and maybe I'm wrong, i think I'm just not feeling it, the vocals are distracting me from the music too much.. not in a good way cause I would like to focus in more on his music as usually he is brilliant in his compositions.
He's still way ahead of the game though, I will admit that. This may take longer for me or a few others to appreciate. Few years down the road. BT is an amazing guy. :)
Once again, it looks like he's falling back on the bland pop route. That's what absolutely killed Emotional Technology for me. Real shame as This Binary Universe is one the best albums I have ever heard and would love another one in that sort of vein. BTW, to all of you that own TBU, if you haven't listened to it in its full 5.1 mode on the DVD then do yourself a favour and make it happen. I have never heard anything like it. The stereo CD version seems limp in comparison.
I'm sorry but this is pants. BT may be a God of production and creativity but this fits in with one of his really lame attempts at music. It's just cheese on toast and that ain't cool. There are good songs on the album, I've heard them, but this? No Brian, just no.
I wish BT was more like his earlier self, the IMA and ESCM time period. I've heard the album, its better than Emotional Technology, way different than Binary Universe, but IMHO, has too many vocals and pop songs. There's no Godspeed, no Content, no Flaming June - the closest is Rose of Jericho which is quite good, IMHO, but its not as good as any of the other songs I mentioned.
BT has transformed into a very talented producer of pop, instead of electronica, IMHO.
@LavaLampBlob God knows I agree with you. SOME of BT's tracks are still great. This just isn't one of them. And BT was supposed to be a pioneer of electronic music.
@smash4686 - BT has enough talent to make just about any genre of music well if he wants to, but... applying his skills to making overly polished pop songs is a waste of his talent, especially when there are no shortage of cheese-pop producers these days. But I guess BT feels he can be more famous or successful this way...saddens me as a fan.
now that's my kind of music!! :D A.MAZING.

By some people's logic this should mean the Day After Tomorrow was a brilliant movie when in fact, it was shite.

absolutely amazing track, doesn't matter what people say

Too mainstream.

Very catchy song.

And BT was supposed to be a pioneer of electronic music.
smash4686 2 years ago
@smash4686 - BT has enough talent to make just about any genre of music well if he wants to, but... applying his skills to making overly polished pop songs is a waste of his talent, especially when there are no shortage of cheese-pop producers these days. But I guess BT feels he can be more famous or successful this way...saddens me as a fan.

Celldweller sounds more like BT's early works. Original sounds really mainstream.
