If you have one of the magnets spin you wont need the magic stuff to stop the magnetic force for you piston. it will attract and repel with the same force.
what hes suggesting is a basic magnetic shielding, which physicists have already proven a magnetic motor like this is against the laws of physics, it breaks the 2nd law of thermodynamics in the laws of conservation of energy, but they think they could create a magnetic motor with a single poled magnet, scientists have discovered a way to get a bunch of magnets to act as a single pole recently actually.
This is what "The Whole Theory" came down to.."THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN ELECTRON".."ONLY THE ATOMS SHADOW OR MIRROR IMAGE"..The Electron is "The Fake Part of The Atom"..The "Electron Cloud" is "The Bending Of Light" on an "Atomic Scale"..
"The Nucleus of The Atom is Rotating at The Speed of Light"..There is "Reality To Every Atom"..Just like your "Mirror Image or Shadow" is "Relative to you"..It's not "Real to you"..The Atom probably rotates by a reflection of It's own Image..And the reason "No Material Object" can go "The Speed Of Light"..Is because "It Already Is".."But in a Circular Motion"..
Check out all the comments on The REAL vs The FAKE Part C THE THEORY OF REALITY HERE ARE "THE 7 FORCES OF THE UNIVERSE"..WHICH WE SEE IN THE "COLOR SPECTRUM".. 1...Memory 2...Movement 3...Evidence 4...Time 5...Difference 6...Warning 7...Infinity All Forces = White Light = Reality = Real + Similar + Fake 2D ELECTRIC = AGE + MIMIC For every action..There is an Equal and Opposite Re-action = To Create a Universe of "NOTHINGNESS INFINITY"..You must be left with "SOMETHINGNESS OR SOLID INFINITY"
as i understand it, you can shield a magnet using any magnetic metal (ie. steel, nickel). the metal is more permeable than air to magnetic flux, and the magnetism flows through the metal away from the magnetic pole. the magnetic field will leak through the shield if the metal is too thin because it will become saturated with flux. for a motor the problem would be that the rotor magnets would stick to the shield instead of being repelled by the stator magnets...

you going about is wrong. the tiny magnets
will stick together north pole to south pole.
what you need to do is get an old floppy disk
, spin it with a magnet at the desired angle
then develop it with iorn powder to resolve the pattern. use the pattern to guide further experiments.

yes but my experiments show the attractive force to be at 90 degrees only. i plan to capitalize on this very soon.

Any guy that puts magnets in a blender, in an attempt to make a magnet motor, has my rspect. 5 stars !!!
