The Alarm are still gigging. I saw them last year with The Damned and Stiff Little fingers..... And it was as good as 30 years ago! (omg , 30 years ago- did I just say that)
Goddamn! This fucking rocks!! Still love these guys. Unfortunately I never got to see them live... wow, at least there's a bunch of live YouTube videos to scour through...
All those knobs that vote on pop idol, watch this....listen to it... this is music....this is performance...this is reality. This was recorded over 15years ago and people still make positive comments.
H|ow many of Simon Cowells masses will be around in 15years?
I wish the last generation had musicians with this kind of hope, inspiration and sense of altruism...it may have mitigated the impact of the last 8 years of an incompetent and failed administration.
Classic early Alarm. Mike and Dave made such a powerful statement when they raised their acoustic guitars in the beginning of "Declaration." It was folk, yet very punk and defiant. Back then, very few rock bands featured acoustic guitars on a regular basis, and 25 years later, I still haven't seen anyone rock out the way Mike and Dave did on acoustic guitars.
me to ,do you remeber gaz top introducing them on stage at barrowlands, ladies and gentlemen the best rock an roll group in the world.......the alaaaaaaarrrrrmmmmmmmm ,started that show with strength if i mind right, brilliant times

One of the most underrated bands of all here in the USA, imo. Never got the attention they deserved from mainstream radio here in the states.
