Favorite Song.... Damn this is a hard one.... It has to be Out On The Tiles because of it's wicked bass line (thanks Jonesy!) and My fave member, I love them all!
fav song, eeeeeks, that's hard. tangerine. no, wait, the rain song. no maybe thank you. no, as longs as i have you, not on any album, but shit, so bloody hard and heavy part 1
youtube.com/watch?v=yDWJUD5j5r8&feature=endscreen&NR=1 ok, tangerine, yes, no, yes, damn tea for one, and then i'm gonna leave you babe, oh what about good times, ok, tangerine.
My Favorite Led-Zeppelin Song Would Have To Be Black Dog and My Favorite Member Would Have To Be Jimmy Page The Wizard, and Robert Plant it's a Tie Between Them 2. o ps. the picture of jimmy with the invisable/viasble thing wid the Jack that's my phn background lol.
@corsair762blacksheep Jimmy Page is the heart and soul of Led Zeppelin. Without him, there wouldn't have been a Led Zeppelin. I include even Bonham in this assertion. As good as JPJ is, several other topnotch bassists would have fit the bill, whereas no guitarist, no matter how good, could have replaced Page. Would it have been a great band with a different guitarist? Yes, but it wouldn't have been Led Zeppelin, even with all the others there.
even if jpj could only play bass i wouldn't agree. but bass was just one of the many things jpj contributes to led zeppelin. jpj is the greatest multi-instrument player ever. i'd like to see any of the other members try to play more than one instrument at the same time, the way jpj plays keyboards and bass with his feet at the same time. the front man is usually NOT the best musician in a band. i've heard page and plant play without jones and bonham, and it's very disappoining.
its between bonzo and plant for fav members. and favorite song is either tangerine or thank you. im bad at making decisions ahah but i love every one of their songs and all members are equally important!
@corsair762blacksheep Haha don't worry I was meaning it in the very shallow sense in terms of who is the most most mind blowingly sexy! :P totally agree Bonham was a massive part of the band- hence they're not being able to continue after his loss. x
The whole band was great... But Jimmy was the creative genius behind zep. Him and Keith Richards were (and possibly still are!) the greatest writers of riffs and interpriters of blues from the UK. Imagine a band with those 2 in it...
@lazysod90 i once read in an anita pallenburg interview how it was common for rock stars to feel very competitive and even hate other bands, but it wasnt publicly known because it wasnt good for their image. she used led zeppelin as an example, saying the stones really hated them, especially plant.
i guess everyone wants something they dont have, even if they have everything.
and can you believe people out there are saying jimmy page stole most of the led zeppelin songs? liars.
listen to this... improvved, insanely well done at that- today's performances might even hope to actually reach the heels of these performers if they weren't so damned stiff and done over!
@gazzaboy2531977 Too right. Bonzo doesn't get the credit he deserved. Imagine trying to impose some kind of rhythm on Page and Plant. These guys had an amazing understanding of each other. No wonder the band felt they couldn't go on without him. There simply was no one who could replace him. RIP Bonzo
I saw Plant back in 1990 during his tour for Manic Nirvana. During his set he played a few Zep songs on Guitar accompanied by his band and he was pretty good as he took some of the lead parts. I was surprised at the time but shouldnt have been, Plants obviously an excellent musician His vocal lines are inspiring and he has a great ear, just listen to his harmonica playing throughout Zep to get a feel for his abilities it stands up to some of the great bluesman.
what I CAN offer you fellow Nobs Heads (God Love Every ONE of ya!) - is that this Lemon Song is NO WAY from 73. NO Later than 70, for sure. Most of us Four Ladz fans no LS wasn't done on the 73 tour.

@thenobs123 , which one do you mean? the black and white one of robert with the guitar? or the one of robert after that is in color of him holding the microphone up above him? They're mostly all Robert, with a few Jimmy pictures, Robert's my favorite :)
That was a great slide show, but Bonzo and Jonsey should have been included, Never the less I really like it,Martin M Martinez, Marketing Director, Adracula Productions
like to refer to Led Zeppelin as FUCKING TOFFEE. Easily made with four main ingredients. Sugar, Chocolate, Butter and NUTS
to me
Jimmy Paige is the sugar which gives Led Zeppelin the great flavor. Robert Plant is the great in your face vocals that you love, probably the first thing you taste. JohnPaulJones is the creamy smoothness in the backround.Gives it TASTE. He has the FUCKIN ILLLEST BASSLINES; lemon song
Lastly.....Bonzo.MOUNTAIN DRUMMING.crunch crunch.The part you hear. amazing
OMG, the pic of him with the backpack and fishing pole when he was 16 looks exactly like a pic of me hiking with a backpack, same stance and all,. his face looks just like me too, this is really freaky. Im a huge Zepp fan and have so many things in common with Robert Plant that it freaks me out sometimes, that pic takes the cake though, i gotta find it and print it, thx.
your a fucking retard codyclarke1....you cant compare music...if you want to comapre plant to joplin well zeppelin ripped off alot of their blues songs like the lemon song...you cant compare musicians everyone is unique its all art its all beautiful!
My favorite Zep tune...hmmmmmmm. It changes perpetually. It really depends on what I'm into at the moment. Right now, it's "I can't quit you babe" off of the BBC sessions. To me, that whole song is a Jimmy Page showcase. Where did you find all these pics? You found some pretty obscure ones.
Kashmir, In the Light, Babe I'm Gunna Leave You, Tangerine, and In My time of Dying are my all time favorites. The 'live from Knebworth' live version of Kashmir is beautiful and once I heard that song, I was blown away. Robert Plant's voice was so strong at Knebworth, I love it.
I grew up to my dad playing led zepplin caset tapes everyday until i was at least 7. I would say my favorite song has always been Rock and Roll, out of all their songs, and i have heard them all, trust me.
I believe that the photo with Karac Plant IS from THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME movie. Regarding my favorite Zep track - that's a tough one, of course, but I like "Immigrant Song" and "Dancing Days" because neither features a guitar solo (on the records, at least) and they're just moments when the band simply locks in as one unit, "Dancing Days" exhibiting the first hint of the exotic Eastern sound melded with hard rock that would become a trademark. (And I still love "Stairway", no matter what.)
tinybrat, did you find that picture of Robert playin acoustic guitar, that first pic, just by googling it? Its an awesome pic and i would like to find it
BluesBurner, Yes, I find a ton of photos of Robert and Jimmy from the earlier days on Photo Bucket. I just have to sift through because there is a lot of stupid shit when you type in 'Led Zeppelin'. I have all of them saved on my account too I think.
They are my favorite band in the world besides The Beatles. They really made it big. I actually love Led Zeppelin more than the Beatles to tell the truth.
The Dickhole who puts down the greatest fucking band of all time can burn in fucking hell for all I fucking care, so fuck you mr. asshole because whatever type of music you listen to could never amount to them, neverless the dogshit on the heel of they're shoes. Fuck you! Led Zeppelin is King!!!
When youv'e accomplished what Zeppelin has, you can fuck up whenever you want to. It's perfectly fine. Even the fuck ups are cool. Plant is nothing but Janis Joplin trapped inside of Roger Daltry's body. Think about it.
Lemon song? :_

When youv'e accomplished what Zeppelin has, you can fuck up whenever you want to. It's perfectly fine. Even the fuck ups are cool. Plant is nothing but Janis Joplin trapped inside of Roger Daltry's body. Think about it.

except robert plant is cooler
