Haiti can't be compared to Chili cause Chili is more Eurocentric with a free and open market system economy and therefore, more wealthy. They can pretty much take care of themselves. Haiti, on the other hand, is poor and much more afrocentric and can never take care of themselves. They will always need massive aid and assistance for a disaster like this
It is true that Haiti does not have the same resources to help themselves. However, the loss is more devastating for a country like Chile because it is more developed and had much more to lose (economically speaking) than Haiti. (The more you have the more you have to lose) This is a much bigger hit to Chile than it was to Haiti.

The evidence suggests the opposite. Children raised with no religious influence, will be atheist by definition. Atheism is not the denial of god, instead it is the absence of a belief in god.

Well I clearly don't agree that those characteristics are given to us by god. Our interlectual capacity is somewhat predetermined by birth, but how we use it is gonna be affected by our environment. Moral issues like stealing and charity, are as far as I can tell, learnt behaviours. Ie. another thing babies arn't born with.

By 2, a child has learned that you get angry if they do certain things. The ability to decieve is somthing that is developed in stages, starting early on, but if you look at a tiny baby, they will try and grab & tasta anything they come in contact with, do they know they're taking somthing they shouldn't be?

Well we talking about morality, so emotions & physical attraction are not really relevant. They are mostly genetically coded into us, tho the ways in which we express them are somewhat learned.
Morality is demonstrably learned over time. Babies clearly start with no idea of right or wrong. They will take things without thinking, or hit a household pet unprovoked, not out of cruelty, just out of basic childlike curiousity. All part of the massive process of learning things.

And so when these ''rub'' against each other miles and miles below the earth's surface, they causes shakes or quakes. The reason why they never hit muslim countries (which isn't true, they are just of a lesser magnitude) is because muslim countries aren't located in one of these high-risk areas.

I'm chilean...i experienced the earthquake in Santiago in a 15 floors building, i was in the 11th floor, with my girlfriend and my son was on the 3rd floor with my mother in law, i still can't believe i survived this, i had to calm my gf down cause she tried to run away downstairs to pick up my son, i grabbed her and we stayed under the door's frame, sudennly the lights went out, and i looked through the window and saw blue light beams in the sky, like explosions...

I understand that you have a deep relationship with god and i respect that, but when you say that it is the fault of the Chile citizens for getting hit by an earthquake by not practicing the correct religion/not practicing the correct religion enough, you could not be more incorrect.

If you believe that the reason these countries are being smited by God is the reason you are suggesting, then tell me why, in north America, where religion has become something of a joke to many people, are there never any natural disasters? seems more like its their geographical location along a main tectonic plate that might be causing these disasters. May that make a little too much sense?

k well nothing to this extent...and the southernmost tip of the USA doesnt count cause they are in the middle of the warmest waters of the Atlantic....which is why they get so many hurricanes. Theres an explanation for everything.

Matt---what do you call hurricane Ike, Rita, Katrina? What do you call the blizzard that is shutting down the upper mid east of the country? What about the earthquake in San Francisco in 1989? Haiti can't be compared to Chili cause Chili is more Eurocentric with a free and open market system economy and therefore, more wealthy. They can pretty much take care of themselves. Haiti, on the other hand, is poor and much more afrocentric and can never take care of themselves. They will always need massive aid and assistance for a disaster like this

It is true that Haiti does not have the same resources to help themselves. However, the loss is more devastating for a country like Chile because it is more developed and had much more to lose (economically speaking) than Haiti. (The more you have the more you have to lose) This is a much bigger hit to Chile than it was to Haiti.
