Shermer's description of Republicans is annoyingly stereotypical. Fact is many conservative free market Republicans like myself are indeed skeptics and agree with Mr Shermer more then we disagree with him. Polls actually show liberals are twice as likely to believe in ghosts for example. Many conservatives simply believe small government is more rational and more fitting with the evidence. Olberman as typical is a complete douchbag

Obama on the other hand thinks that the solution is to spend more. This is like telling a fat man to lose weight by eating more. The solution is eliminate government regulation and audit the Federal Reserve. Only Republicans understand this right now. Democrat's belief that governments fix anything is more religious in my opinion
