I think this Danish girl has leart a lot of things about Multiculturalism that she didnt know before making this clip. I'm sure she will read between the lines now everytime there is a crime in Denmark or elswhere. Eventualy she will try to save her people.
Just came across your videos due to the aspi tie in but wanted to say that I completely agree with the our (USA's) fear of socialism. IMO we have been conditioned to fear any form of public good in favor of individualism as well as to believe that taxes become wasted money from which we receive no benefit.
Don't, get me wrong, I do like many things about living here. In no small part because I realize that even for america I am fairly privileged. But N.Europe does have benefits we lack.
@StoneOak79 The biggest benefit is that they are not as multicultural yet as the US but Denmark has only 5 million people so will be out bread in no time. Good bye Viking.
I think we are all victums of misinformation. Watch this /watch?v=5AOc4CfSYv4 and we will all be on the same page and understand the situation. Denmark is in the same position as Sweden.
It is interesting to hear a real Danish person describe a non-white as a 'Dane'. My Danish family members do not do that. I wonder if she thinks she can go to China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, or any other country with a relatively monolithic non-white race/culture and be considered one of them. It is amazing to see how thoroughly many seemingly intelligent young white people have been indoctrinated to believe that their race doesn't exist, while every other race carries no such illusion.
It makes me sad to know that you do not value or even recognize the existence of your own beautiful heritage. China has a beautiful heritage too and if a black African goes to China and has a baby, the Chinese people will not say that baby is Chinese. Only people of European descent think they have an obligation to deny their own existence. We are a wonderful people, but we have become stupid in that way.
@shellcracker7 History is one thing.. heritage also. But that doesn't make it a race. Honestly, being a dane or not is about citizenship.
That doesn't mean I deny or devalue my own heritage or national history. It's got nothing to do with one another.
I think Denmark is a lovely country. Many places are.. but Denmark is home. But my saying that someone with a different color skin can also be danish, doesn't devalue my country. In fact, I think it's very positive.
The issue is not skin color, but racial and cultural heritage. If all people born in Denmark are really 'Danish', then Danish identity is meaningless ... only geographic trivia.
@shellcracker7 But we're not losing our cultural heritage.. not to the immigrants anyway. See, if we're losing our national identity to anyone, we're losing it to the americans. Our language is slowly being taken over by american words and slang, our restaurants are more american, fast food, tv, movies.. there's much more american english spoken on danish tv channels than danish.
Danes have started celebrating valentine's and halloween..
I agree about American fast food and the insidious creations of the Jewish producers who run Hollywood. The fast food kills people and Hollywood's programming makes people stupid. I haven't eaten McDonalds in a few decades, but I love to catch cod and catch torsk and eat fiskefrikadeller. Our TV doesn't work and I don't want to fix it. My children speak Danish. I need to learn more, but I understand the meaning when my wife says something that sounds like 'hal kift puskit'.
Maybe we agree about some things, but perhaps unlike you I'm concerned about people who introduced the phenomenon of gang rape to Denmark, commit 75% of the street crime in Copenhagen, and have a birth rate 3 times higher than native Danes. If they become a majority (that may be inevitable), Denmark will democratically adopt Shari'ah law and native Danes will be like the former majority in Egypt, the Coptic Christians. I really don’t want that to happen to beautiful Denmark.
@shellcracker7 I don't want that to happen either. But I don't think we'll prevent it by excluding them from our society.
Remember, the percentage of immigrants that commit crimes is very small - most, just like whites, don't do anything bad. They just try to get by in life.
Religious fundementalism is always scary, but again.. you don't get rid of it by persecuting them, that only tells them they're right. You gotta show their kids that there's a more balanced, less hateful way to live.
@TheAnMish Even if the number of migrants is small for now just consider america who has only I think 13% black and from wikapidia -According to the survey "Highlights from 20 Years of Surveying Crime Victims", published in 1993, of the 1.3 million violent crimes that are interracial, 75% involve white victims and black offenders, 15% involve white victims and other-race offenders, and 10% involve black victims and white offender. (You do not nead many blacks to severly abuse the white majority)
@TheAnMish And according to the latest annual report on murder by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, most inter-racial murders involve black assailants and white victims, with blacks murdering whites at 18 times the rate that whites murder blacks. end quote. So you do not nead many Africans to cause untold abuse and suffering to your famiely and friends. If you are still confused just take a trip to the rape capital Johannesburg South Africa and ask some local people.
About crime ... Muslims are about 5% of Denmark's population, but more than 50% of Denmark's convicted racist population. Virtually all of their victims are Danish women like you. I'm happy that it has not happened to you, but I'm deeply saddened to think of Danish women less fortunate than you in that way.
Islamic religious fundamentalism is scary in my opinion. Denmark's Christian heritage does not scare me & Danish churches are some of the most amazing things I've seen.
About persecuting muslims in Denmark ... relocating muslims to countries which live under the system of their choosing would not be aggressive. It would be the most fair and peaceful long term plan Europeans could choose. The current policies and trends will result in your ethnic replacement. Historically, when Muslims out-breed their host countries and become majorities, they enforce shari’ah law. Former majorities become subjugated dhimmi’s like the Coptic Christians of Egypt.
“I don’t think that my skin colour has anything to do with how happy I am...”
Are Asians just a “skin colour”?
Are Africans just a “skin colour”?
Race is not a “skin colour” any more than gender is just a body shape or a country is just a piece of dirt.
A race is an entire family of people, a unique expression of humanity with distinct physical characteristics and cultural identity. A Haitian is not a Japanese with black skin. Denmark is Denmark due to it’s PEOPLE, not it’s government.
You need to take a basic math class. The rape statistics are non-existant white on white in Scandanavia. Put some more dye in your hair. Your a fake.
@svennbreng What's that got to do with anything? Even it they were non-existent, which they're not, it still wouldn't mean that skin color had anything to do with general happiness or contentment.
Sorry to tell you, but there's a whole lot more to this than rape statistics.
Also, try not to insult people as a default, it's not conductive to productive conversation.
We certainly won't be having one.
(Lastly; it's "you're" not "your". Have a nice day.)
It's pretty much the same here in Germany concerning the health care system - but not everybody's happy here at all. Then again I guess Germans are known for a lot of things but not exactly their happiness. :> Oh, and by the way, your English is just great as far as I can say as a non-native speaker as well. :)
@noddwan I generally don't perceive danes to be "happy" either... Danes complain a lot, and we're not very social - especially during winter. But I do think we have very few things to worry about.. which in some studies translates as "happy".
@svennbreng I'm not sure exactly if this answer is really addressed at me since I can't find any sentence in my original comment which normally could induce an answer like yours..So i guess: "Successful troll is successful" since I'm actually giving you a response:
I wish you all the best with finding ways to let your hate go and live a happy life - in the meantime: Better stay out of discussions you don't quite understand. ;)
Not all Danes are white because of forced Race mixing by Zionists in Power. If you Think multi-culturalism works: check rape statistics before and after forced multi-culturalism. As your cities become slums, you will see Hitler was right.
@svennbreng yeah, these so-called statistics (that are never wrong at all or never made up) proves that people outside of the white race are to blame for rape and everything wrong in the world, and hitler was totally in the right to rally up his drones and kill millions of people over what he believed in his head to be true. Its all logically correct and justifiable [end sarcasm]
@yugang08 I've been all over the world. Where it is prdominantly white, you have health, peace and order. Why do you think these are the countries being snuck into. No coincidence. Lie to yourself all you like. The darker the culture, the more of a slum.
Let me be honest for a sec. i grew up in a suburban area and watched it get flooded by a "certain ethnic group" and slowly decay into a total shithole. Since then I've moved out into the country and I swear it feels like a totally different planet.
@svennbreng Actually, I have lived in a ghetto. For several years. I'm not gonna say it's the worst, because there certainly are worse ones. But I did live in a ghetto. One where white people are a minority. You assume too much.
"Let her be raped...."
You must have so much hatred in you, to be able to even utter those words. Then again.. there's a good chance you don't even know what it means. So you're either even more hateful than previously anticipated, or more ignorant. Or both.
Butan has a Gross National Happiness indicator that the king is more conserned about then the GDP. He found that the people are happier if there are few tourist and no immigrants so a visa costs $200 US per day to visit and he expelled many of the Indians. Denmark should learn from this and repeat his success to keep the people happy. Long live the King.
@stevesedberry How many women have to be raped before Denmark realises that their liberal immigration policy is a problem and the people are responsable for allowing it. How long does a country spend in denial when most of the population can see what is happening to Denmark. Please Denmark learn from other countries like England France and America what will happen to you and just remember your population is only five million so will be destroyed faster then the other European countries.
Socialism only works in monocultural nations. That is why all the countries that have a socialist system like Uk Australia New Zealand Denmark Sweden France to name a few are now in a dilemma. Should we cut the services or raise the taxes? The Danes cant raise the taxes any more so they are starting to cut services like Australia is doing.
Denmark is a wonderful place and has a great social welfare system. Danish people are mainly middle class people and very proud and nationalistic. All my Danish friends tell me that the problem is that immigrants who do not respect the nation go there to claim all the Danish benefits and rout the system.
Your spreading propaganda for the socialist welfare state disguised as a critique of race realism.
You praise the welfare state as the cause for national wealth, but this is causally wrong. The welfare state is based on redistribution, but is not in itself the source of economic growth.
High GDP is correlated with "happiness", but so is living in a low diversity country, which you dont address.
I for one have never gotten used to the system, despite having lived most of my life with it.
You believe the low crime rate is caused by lenient punishment for criminal offence.
This is totally wrong. If anything, harsh punishment would deter offenders. I have never heard of any criminologists envoking your explanation.
Those "bad" parts of Copenhagen you lived in, were most likely demographically dominated by third world immigrants. Imagine what the city would look like if they became the majority, perhaps more "bad" parts of town would suddenly spring up?
Public education is not that great either. Very mediocre results are achieved in the socialdemocratic egalitarian schoolsystem. And you fail to mention that there is lots of "white flight" too. Danes are not to happy about islamic diversity when it comes to their own children. Segregated communities are on the rise.
Low crime rate also seems to be a thing of the past. Violent and gang crime is increasing, due to the large influx of muslims and africans.
Ethnic danes are all white.. You are confusing the issue. Nobody has claimed that Denmark has an all white population, only that the large majority is white. Some where between 90-95%. Nobody has concluded that danes are more happy on average because of their skin color.
You are setting up several strawmen.
Healthcare is not "free", when it is paid for by taxes. Healthcare is not that terrific either, lots of waiting lists for treatment, and skyrocketing national expenses.
@cannedkitty Well.. I hope you can do something to decrease your paranoia then, and deal with the self-hate. I know that it can seem almost impossible to overcome issues, but in most cases it can at the very least be dealt with, to the point where it doesn't interfere that much with ones life anymore.
It takes time, and it's hard work, but it's worth it in the end.
I have to talk this way because I have to prove that I am just as smart as white people. If I never opened my mouth, people would assume I'm dumb. If I never engaged my keyboard on an anonymous internet forum, everyone would assume I'm white.
I would not mind living in Denmark. Or Turkey, or Japan, or China, or Mexico, or Argentina, or Singapore, or Morocco. These are all wonderful places and the world is beautiful including America. There is more to life than this stupid rhetorical competition progressives whites seem to have with each other.
@cannedkitty This wasn't about competition at all. This was about telling these "race realists" that the reason danish people are supposed to be among "the happiest nations" or whatever, has nothing to do with skin colour. And it doesn't. It has to do with our society. The way it's built and the way we treat each other.
I think you're having a different conversation than I am here. I'm adressing a claim by "race realists", not which country is best.
I don't really draw much of a distinction between the condescending self-congratulatory self-back patting scandinavians do concerning their 'enlightened' society, and the obnoxious and belligerent and reactionary flag waving Americans do. Different mentalities but in the end it's just white people being white people: unable to see humanity outside their own metric.
@cannedkitty Well, I -was- asked to say what I think is really good about my country. I wasn't asked to say what I think is bad, which is an entirely different, and much longer video.
But I stand by this; I would not want to live in America, having known what it's like to live in a country where I don't have to worry at all about the things I mentioned. Life in America would, to me, seem filled with trouble after this.
And here, it's not white priviledge, it's citizen priviledge.
@TheAnMish I'm not talking about government provided benefits as white privilege, I'm talking about the rhetoric used in simplifying the discussion into 'we have benefits/you don't'. There is a cultural component that hampers America's embrace of a more collective society, but it would be a disservice to downplay the geographic, historical and demographic issues which are absent in Denmark. I live in the U.S. and enjoy all the privileges you do. I'm not lucky, nor am I atypical.
9:03 "It's not that I don't like America--I'm sure it's a great country"
This latent yet overwhelming condescension and patronization in this comment--and the video as a whole--is extremely nauseating. There is more to life than inane 'quality of life' indexes and UN rankings, which are tailored toward global economic firms more than anything. Progressive policy isn't a challenge when your country is as homogenous and overwhelmingly white as Denmark. Video reeks of white privilege.
I get the impression from Europeans that the lack of a thorough social welfare system means we're all struggling to afford things like food and good health care. While it is appalling we let so many Americans go hungry and without health care, most of us actually do enjoy the privileges TheAnMish speaks about. My health is more or less free too, 90% of us who are on a payroll are covered. I got a lot of breaks in my tuition as well.So even tho I'm pro universal health care, its not that bad here
I'm a bit of a nutcase with asperger's and what not, and over the past year, I've been having lots and lots of more physical issues fucking up my health. But I could never conceive the idea of relying on the state to take care of my general health.
My problem with socialism is that it gives too much power to the state, and if you get the wrong bastard in charge, everything could go to hell. I would not want to live in a country where the government takes care of you under a George W. Bush.
I'm American. I'm also black. Beautiful young sister...you're preaching to the choir!!! All white Americans can learn a lot from you!!! Denmark is very much a we society. Unfortunately the U.S. is still a me society!!! Americans...how's that working out for you!!! Social Democracy Rules!!! Keep on spreading the word about Democratic Socialism. There's great love here for you young sister. Adonai...Baagit8!!!
This girl is completely fluent! Sounds exactly like a natural-born American. Not to mention level-headed and beautiful. And Denmark sounds like heaven! Shame about the food, though.
I'm swedish and I love Denmark and I trying to visit at least once a year. Danes are a bit more open and easygoing than Swedes in my opinion and it's real easy to connect with you lot :-)
I didn't know your taxes where that high, i thought you had the same as us, a bit over 30%
you got a great outlook- in the US socialism is definitely a swear word- but with all the lip service to freedom all you get are laws which curb it and economic shackles which enslave you. Seriously, where would you rather be if you are not part of the 1%?
@ThinkerHatNeeded I don't think it's more of a problem than in most countries. (Which to me, is still too much. I'd prefer it wasn't there at all.)
We do have a political party which is pretty much known for their racist and anti-immigration views. However, while they are one of the largest parties, that is likely mostly to do with saying they want lots of good stuff for the elderly - which means that many elderly vote for them.
@TheAnMish wow, that was a really fast respons, impressed. Yea, we have a party like that, the "swedísh demokrats" (can't spell that, "sverige demokraterna" in swedish) in sweden too, and they got elected into parlamen, witch is why I was wondering
cuba and venezuela have state health services too. they are even less hapy that the uk. its not becuase fo the social services that scandinavians are happier. english people were happier in the fifties, but not now - even though in the fifties they were still on rations. its obvious why people are getting more miserable.
Hi everyone! We Swedes (yes.. I am Swedish) is the more "bitter version" of the Danish people IMO, lol (though not myself personally!!). I don't know why that is but I have been in Denmark several times and even was involved in a student exchange program in my gymnasium time ("high school years" sort of). I was surprised by the the Danish attitude.. more honest.. more happy.. overall this seems to "shine" out even to to the political climate which is, IMO, very different than that in Sweden.
@Ilikemustard I'm just fine with it, actually. I just like living in denmark.
We help each other out here, through the tax system, we have mild weather, a practically secular society, even if it's not official, our extremeist politicians are still quite reasonable compared to a lot of what I see in the states, and our economy isn't entirely terrible considering the crisis.
First off, I'm not American. You know what's more ignorant than an American? People that call everyone they disagree with an American.
Second, Americans don't conflate socialism and communism, they conflate socialism and welfare.
Third, I dont think YOU know what socialism is. A strict definition is when workers control the means of production, but Marx himself said that socialism is a transitional stage leading to communism
Welfare and socialism aren't closely connected. As I said, socialism is when workers control the means of production. If my point is "bullshit", then make an argument WHY it is bullshit. How do you want me to rebut that point? Say "no, it isn't bullshit"?
@Ilikemustard I said that your point on socialism leading to communism is bullshit, which it is.
Socialism is about "redistributing wealth" so everybody pay high taxes and the state makes sure that tasks like education and health are taken care of, for everybody.
that's welfare.
this video is about Denmark, so it's Scandinavian socialism, look it up. search for: popular socialism on wiki, it's not too indepth, but maybe it'll be enough.
^ it wont let me link :( so you'll have to do the work
It's not bullshit just because it doesn't apply to your fringe definition of socialism. That is what Marx said.
As for your "Popular Socialism" wiki article, why don't you take yourself over to the wiki page on Denmark and see how many times it mentions socialism? It is referred to as a WELFARE STATE, because it is a free market with a large degree of welfare. It's also ironic how most of these "popular socialist" parties were once communist, no?
I've always been able to pay for my healthcare services through insurance, I pay dental insurance and have my teeth cleaned every 6 months. But I'm not sure what is the best system really, there is so much to consider it is beyond me really. Anyway, I'm happy and I keep much of my money now, I own a good size piece of property with a nice house and a pool so I'm living pretty good in America! Hi to all in Denmark!
Do you even understand the consequences of minimum wage? Do you understand that it means the prices of merchandise has to go up? Do you understand that it will cause businesses to have to let people go because they can't afford to pay people that much? That it will cause people not to get jobs even though they would like to?
@waksibra Point 1: I'm able to live on a foodbudget of 15 kr per day. That's around 3 dollars. I've been to america, and I don't know that the same is possible there.
2: Historically, the unemployment rate in denmark really isn't high.
So... were it not for the crisis, people would be able to find work, generally speaking.
@waksibra Have you ever lived on minimum wage? Do you know how low it is? You sound like a pampered POS. If companies can't even afford to pay 7.25, maybe they should just go out of business, because frankly it sounds like a company with a horrible business model. Do you honestly believe businesses have to be able to pay less than around 7.25/h (NYC min. wage) in order to hire more people? How come you buy corporate propaganda so unquestioningly? Maybe you would prefer a slave society.
@waksibra It's not stolen. Taxes are paid by all of us, and in this country, we get a lot in return. It's really unfortunate how many think the argument you made is valid.
See, if people don't like paying taxes, they could simply elect a government that would eradicate them. Thereby, we'd have to privatise everything that government currently takes care of.
Most danes don't want that, because what we have works.
Our government acknowledge that it is a good deal for them as well to pay for our education. Not only that - it even pays you (a small amount of) money just to study so that everyone can afford it.
This is smart because the government actually earns money by educating us so that we end up being able to earn more and thereby pay more taxes. It's a good deal all round.
Problem of the US political discourse is indeed that they don't talk of the real social democratic systems that exist. But talk indeed of a boogie man. Many European countries are good to live in and they are that precisely because it's a hybrid model of social policies, open yet regulated markets and multi-party systems. In most European cities one indeed does not need to know what the worst parts are. Things are more mellow, less dualistic, and less adverserial overall.
Psychologically, though, a person who is not a minority tends to be happier than a person who is. I doubt that's what they meant, but America used to have slaves, and I'm pretty sure white people were happier than black people.
Also stop saying free - it's paid through your taxes, public funded and government administered. But yeah I don't see socialised health care as a boogie man...but I'm more interested in privatised options. I'm still researching this. Our economies are very different.
@deathofsmokey If only privatised health care was cheap.. maybe. It seems to me that it's not, though?
Either way, I've only ever lived in this one country, so I don't know what it's like to have to worry about health care, or education. And I like the idea of everyone helping to take care of everyone.
Yeah but our health care isn't really privatised - so we've got a lot of stuff to mull over. Lately a lot of options are being thrown out which is a good start, hopefully we will see some change...but I guess I am sort of with the republicans on some of these issues. I'm really saying though, our countries can't compare. We are massive and culturally diverse - I think socialism works there, but there are major differences here to consider. I am undecided fully, though.
@deathofsmokey If the healthcare sytem in America is designed to reap profits for select industries then it is a huge success. If it is designed to provide a health service that benefits the nation then it is a huge failure.
Socialized medicine in this country would be beneficial to America overall. At least a public option would be successful.
No offense but some of the claims your making are just Republican talking points that have absolutely no basis in reality.
I haven't met an American from either party who thinks our health care system is fine. The debate is over how to fix it - you think socialized medicine would be beneficial (which I actually said it probably would) - but if I'm wrong, you should tell me why so I can think about your perspective. I'd appreciate that.
@deathofsmokey The medicaid system in NYC was a fairly efficient system. Private industry wanted their cut of that system so they lobbied to force medicaid recipients to have to go through private insurance carriers on the argument it would be cheaper.
The cost increase due to paying the private insurance carriers for doing what was an added, unnecessary administrative task added roughly 16% to the annual budget with no overall savings.
@TheTruePooka So we're paying more in medicaid taxes for less services thanks to the introduction of private insurance into what was a passably working socialized system.
Also; because private insurance companies in America have a monopoly on setting medical services/ drug prices at exorbitant rates a vast number of people can't afford these services.
@TheTruePooka As a result people don't go to see doctors for general medicine. Which leads to cheaply treated issues becoming an incredibly expensive emergency problem. They end up at the ER. Because of our corrupt, inefficient privatized system a large percentage of the population uses the ER for common ailments, ailments that should be treated outpatient.
Since they can' afford to pay for that service, who do you think picks up the bill?
@TheTruePooka cont - you do.you pay with your tax dollars.
Your tax dollars go to paying 3k for an ER visit as opposed to 100 dollars for an outpatient visit (hospitals that do this sort of "charity care" are often subsidized by government funding to offset charity care costs that arise from our sh*t system).
And the drug companies and private insurance companies reap the benefits, all out of your pocket.
sure you don't want a socialized medical system in America? >.<
@deathofsmokey I know it's paid through taxes, but it's still called "free healthcare". That's its 'name', in a way. And I think I made it quite clear that I was aware of this. :)
The thing with the Republicans is that they think that someone (them) should make money off of EVERYTHING (Market Economy) . America, which fought a revolution to not be under the thumb of a King, creates Kings at every corner.Someone must profit,to a huge amount, at EVERYTHING. I would move to Denmark, Germany, Holland, ETC. tomorrow if I could.
unless we had it on the state level. The other problem I have with it is that it could give the government the power to justify it's own means, for example, determining who lives and who dies. The Nazis were sick proponents of this, so it is wise to not base the judgment purely off of subjectivity in this case, and also consider the potential it has to do at more harm than good depending on who's in control.
The problem with any form of socialism is that it can give the government way too much power. In smaller countries and in individual states, I like socialism a little better because that way things can run a little bit smoother, just as long as our rights are protected, which we're in grave danger of losing in my country (from what I've heard about the National Defense Authorization Act). So in smaller countries I can see tax-paid universal healthcare as much more efficient than the US cont.
Here in Canada we also have a free health system - but no free dental care, at least in Ontario. I also can't understand why Americans are against free health even when people there are literally dying because they can't afford health insurance. Education is free until the end of high school. We pay for college/university, but much less than in the U.S. and there are many loans and scholarships so virtually anybody can have a higher education. I hope to visit Scandinavia some day. Tchau! :-)
@RobClarity But bear in mind that it does rely on taxpayer as I have mentinod before, Denmark has very high tax, money that one would otherwise spend on these things goes into ones tax.
@EwIHateYouu I can hear a bit of one, bro. Better if she sounded more kiwi and less like an american. If an NZ exchange student wanted to host you would that be choice?
You have mentioned pizza a lot; do you want to trade ideas on Italian food? Your "salad pizza" story gave me a couple of good ideas on cooking. I also think I could give ya a truely gross one if ya want a better idea.
In comparison to Britain I like the fact that Copenhagen has no litter and the traffic lights tell you how long you have to wait before they turn green.
@mildpace Do you think comparing a secular first world country with a developing country dominated by a caste system might have more to do with the difference in reported happiness than a mixed market?
@MonsuerLePlague German citizenship should make it easier, I think.. 'cause then you already have a european citizenship. But the easiest way, is if you find a job here, and then apply to move. It tends to help the application, so far as I understand.
But.. the way the job market is these days.. meh. I don't know.
You don't think having the government tax the crap out of it's citizens and spend like it does effects your job market? Because it's murdering ours, at least the second part about spending. Very difficult to compare America to Denmark. We are a lot bigger than you, and population factors into our economics.
Obviously we need a huge change now, but we're waking up and I think things will get better. Denmark isn't terribly successful though, really.
On what criteria and compared to whom? They have higher GDP per capita than most nations in the world. Their services are second to none. It's a cleaner country than most. It's people are happier than most.
I feel like we do have socialism here in the states, just a different sort than you're used to.We've set up a market where financial institutions socialize their risk through tax dollars and privatize the profits generated with those moneys.I personally would prefer healthcare and weed but, there is a generation of people standing in the way of that progress.I think this is why progress comes in chunks. My generation will eventually get it's turn at bat and we'll probably fuck it all up too.
Yeah, most Right wing Americans are perfectly fine with the idea that TRILLIONS of their tax dollars are spent to kill people in other counties, all in the name of "spreading freedom" (It's actually just done to ensure revenue flow for a few people). They don't mind that we spend 10 TIMES as much as ALL OTHER COUNTRIES COMBINED on our military (Even though we're the only superpower left) but spending a few billion of Taxpayer $ on TAXPAYERS is evil socialism. It doesn't make sense to me either.
Hmm... it seems to me you're suggesting that you have a great many serious worries taken off of your shoulders. Especially those that are particularly time sensitive. That's interesting.
@TheTruePooka Yeah, and I really think that's a big part of it. Because I don't think that we're "happier", but just more content. We feel safer and we have less worries.
Primarily because the big issues are taken care of for us. We all contribute to each others' healthcare and education, and that way, no one has to worry about it :)
But you're still paying...a lot. You get paid less than we do, everything is more expensive there, your taxes are WAY high...and it has to be that way to balance out. Massive cultural and philosophical differences could make it a much less effective system here than there as well.
But nothing is free - you guys are paying soooo much to not worry. We're more individualistic, so I think privatised makes sense for us. Make it as cheap as we can and don't rely on the gov.
@deathofsmokey When you consider that the average ER room visit with short term stay can cost easily upwards of 15k, work that in with the statistical likelihood as you increase in age that you'll suffer accident or ill health (an inevitability for most people)?
I'll bet she pays a lot less over a lifetime when you compare the taxes she pays to the cost she';d pay for privatized healthcare in America.
Assuming she could afford to pay it and didn't just die.
@TheTruePooka Hi buddy. In the EU (most of it) we consider healthcare a human right. The problem is how you pay for it. So we apply the best economic theories to pay for it.
In the US they put the wagon before the horse. Like education, healthcare, is a right. How to pay for it is second.
@ILYIAB Actually it's worse then that. In America healthcare is considered a privilege.
It's been determined that it is more efficient to only let the well off have access to efficient health care while the rest of the population can go fuck off and die.
And by "more efficient" I mean "profitable to lobbyists, pharmaceutical companies & private insurance companies".
And actually, New Zealand is the eighth happiest nation in the world, the happiest in the Southern Hemisphere, and also above all other English-speaking countries except Canada. But Canada is the worlds second largest country by area and has a much greater population than New Zealand, so it's important to compare different Canadian provinces. An even New Zealand has two main islands, so it would be interesting to compare the North and South islands.
You are insanely beautiful. Don't want to pick a fight but racial differences are not merely skin deep. Phenotype is a product of Genotype which is a product of the composition of a given person's DNA, And no, there is a correlation between the whiter a country is and less crime, less poverty, less disease, and more happiness. If it weren't so, all the hordes of dark skinned foreign invaders wouldn't be itching to invade Western nations. White people have a right to self-determination, too.
@rsoarch7 Maybe you should actually look into what you are saying. Let's have a look at the happy planet index shall we? 2009 most happy countries: top 5: Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Guatemala and Vietnam. Obviously the vast white majority of those countries is key to their happiness....oh wait, you're just a fucking retard.

It is interesting to hear a real Danish person describe a non-white as a 'Dane'. My Danish family members do not do that. I wonder if she thinks she can go to China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, or any other country with a relatively monolithic non-white race/culture and be considered one of them. It is amazing to see how thoroughly many seemingly intelligent young white people have been indoctrinated to believe that their race doesn't exist, while every other race carries no such illusion.
shellcracker7 1 week ago
@shellcracker7 "Dane" isn't a race. It's a nationality.
If you're born in Denmark, you're a dane. It doesn't mean you're necessarily white, though. It just means you're a dane.
TheAnMish 1 week ago
@TheAnMish
It makes me sad to know that you do not value or even recognize the existence of your own beautiful heritage. China has a beautiful heritage too and if a black African goes to China and has a baby, the Chinese people will not say that baby is Chinese. Only people of European descent think they have an obligation to deny their own existence. We are a wonderful people, but we have become stupid in that way.
shellcracker7 1 week ago
@shellcracker7 Well said my friend. She indeed is twisted and lost.
svennbreng 1 week ago
@shellcracker7 History is one thing.. heritage also. But that doesn't make it a race. Honestly, being a dane or not is about citizenship.
That doesn't mean I deny or devalue my own heritage or national history. It's got nothing to do with one another.
I think Denmark is a lovely country. Many places are.. but Denmark is home. But my saying that someone with a different color skin can also be danish, doesn't devalue my country. In fact, I think it's very positive.
Seems we disagree on that.
TheAnMish 1 week ago
@TheAnMish
The issue is not skin color, but racial and cultural heritage. If all people born in Denmark are really 'Danish', then Danish identity is meaningless ... only geographic trivia.
shellcracker7 1 week ago
@shellcracker7 Well said.
svennbreng 1 week ago
@shellcracker7 But we're not losing our cultural heritage.. not to the immigrants anyway. See, if we're losing our national identity to anyone, we're losing it to the americans. Our language is slowly being taken over by american words and slang, our restaurants are more american, fast food, tv, movies.. there's much more american english spoken on danish tv channels than danish.
Danes have started celebrating valentine's and halloween..
So should I still be more scared of immigrants?
TheAnMish 1 week ago
@TheAnMish
I need to learn more, but I understand the meaning when my wife says something that sounds like 'hal kift puskit'.
shellcracker7 1 week ago
@shellcracker7
Oops. I said cod and torsk and they're the same thing of course.
shellcracker7 1 week ago
@TheAnMish
I really don’t want that to happen to beautiful Denmark.
shellcracker7 1 week ago
@shellcracker7 I don't want that to happen either. But I don't think we'll prevent it by excluding them from our society.
Remember, the percentage of immigrants that commit crimes is very small - most, just like whites, don't do anything bad. They just try to get by in life.
Religious fundementalism is always scary, but again.. you don't get rid of it by persecuting them, that only tells them they're right. You gotta show their kids that there's a more balanced, less hateful way to live.
TheAnMish 1 week ago
@TheAnMish Even if the number of migrants is small for now just consider america who has only I think 13% black and from wikapidia -According to the survey "Highlights from 20 Years of Surveying Crime Victims", published in 1993, of the 1.3 million violent crimes that are interracial, 75% involve white victims and black offenders, 15% involve white victims and other-race offenders, and 10% involve black victims and white offender. (You do not nead many blacks to severly abuse the white majority)
TheJohn090909 1 week ago
@TheAnMish And according to the latest annual report on murder by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, most inter-racial murders involve black assailants and white victims, with blacks murdering whites at 18 times the rate that whites murder blacks. end quote. So you do not nead many Africans to cause untold abuse and suffering to your famiely and friends. If you are still confused just take a trip to the rape capital Johannesburg South Africa and ask some local people.
TheJohn090909 1 week ago
@TheAnMish
Denmark's Christian heritage does not scare me & Danish churches are some of the most amazing things I've seen.
shellcracker7 1 week ago
@TheAnMish

Your a fake.
svennbreng 1 week ago
@svennbreng What's that got to do with anything? Even it they were non-existent, which they're not, it still wouldn't mean that skin color had anything to do with general happiness or contentment.
Sorry to tell you, but there's a whole lot more to this than rape statistics.
Also, try not to insult people as a default, it's not conductive to productive conversation.
We certainly won't be having one.

Not all Danes are white because of forced Race mixing by Zionists in Power. If you Think multi-culturalism works: check rape statistics before and after forced multi-culturalism. As your cities become slums, you will see Hitler was right.
svennbreng 2 weeks ago
@svennbreng yeah, these so-called statistics (that are never wrong at all or never made up) proves that people outside of the white race are to blame for rape and everything wrong in the world, and hitler was totally in the right to rally up his drones and kill millions of people over what he believed in his head to be true. Butan has a Gross National Happiness indicator that the king is more conserned about then the GDP.
TheJohn090909 4 weeks ago
Denmark is a wonderful place and has a great social welfare system. Danish people are mainly middle class people and very proud and nationalistic. All my Danish friends tell me that the problem is that immigrants who do not respect the nation go there to claim all the Danish benefits and rout the system.
TheJohn090909 4 weeks ago
Your spreading propaganda for the socialist welfare state disguised as a critique of race realism.
You praise the welfare state as the cause for national wealth, but this is causally wrong. The welfare state is based on redistribution, but is not in itself the source of economic growth.
High GDP is correlated with "happiness", but so is living in a low diversity country, which you dont address.
I for one have never gotten used to the system, despite having lived most of my life with it.
dringles 1 month ago
You believe the low crime rate is caused by lenient punishment for criminal offence.
This is totally wrong. If anything, harsh punishment would deter offenders. I have never heard of any criminologists envoking your explanation.
Those "bad" parts of Copenhagen you lived in, were most likely demographically dominated by third world immigrants. Imagine what the city would look like if they became the majority, perhaps more "bad" parts of town would suddenly spring up?
dringles 1 month ago
Public education is not that great either. Very mediocre results are achieved in the socialdemocratic egalitarian schoolsystem. And you fail to mention that there is lots of "white flight" too. Danes are not to happy about islamic diversity when it comes to their own children. Segregated communities are on the rise.
Low crime rate also seems to be a thing of the past. Violent and gang crime is increasing, due to the large influx of muslims and africans.
dringles 1 month ago
Ethnic danes are all white.. You are confusing the issue. Nobody has claimed that Denmark has an all white population, only that the large majority is white. Some where between 90-95%. Nobody has concluded that danes are more happy on average because of their skin color.
You are setting up several strawmen.
Healthcare is not "free", when it is paid for by taxes. Healthcare is not that terrific either, lots of waiting lists for treatment, and skyrocketing national expenses.

cannedkitty 1 month ago
This is very condescending.
I would not mind living in Denmark. Or Turkey, or Japan, or China, or Mexico, or Argentina, or Singapore, or Morocco. These are all wonderful places and the world is beautiful including America. There is more to life than this stupid rhetorical competition progressives whites seem to have with each other.
cannedkitty 1 month ago
@cannedkitty This wasn't about competition at all. This was about telling these "race realists" that the reason danish people are supposed to be among "the happiest nations" or whatever, has nothing to do with skin colour. And it doesn't. It has to do with our society. The way it's built and the way we treat each other.
I think you're having a different conversation than I am here. I'm adressing a claim by "race realists", not which country is best.
TheAnMish 1 month ago
I don't really draw much of a distinction between the condescending self-congratulatory self-back patting scandinavians do concerning their 'enlightened' society, and the obnoxious and belligerent and reactionary flag waving Americans do. Different mentalities but in the end it's just white people being white people: unable to see humanity outside their own metric.
cannedkitty 1 month ago
@cannedkitty Well, I -was- asked to say what I think is really good about my country. I wasn't asked to say what I think is bad, which is an entirely different, and much longer video.
But I stand by this; I would not want to live in America, having known what it's like to live in a country where I don't have to worry at all about the things I mentioned. Life in America would, to me, seem filled with trouble after this.
And here, it's not white priviledge, it's citizen priviledge.
TheAnMish 1 month ago

My problem with socialism is that it gives too much power to the state, and if you get the wrong bastard in charge, everything could go to hell. I would not want to live in a country where the government takes care of you under a George W. Bush.

@Ilikemustard Ok i assumed you were an American, that's my mistake, and your assumption that i call everyone i disagree with American is false
Americans DO conflate socialism and communism, welfare and socialism IS close connected.
Like you may know there are hundreds of different views on how to rule a country, and there's alot of different ways a socialistic state can be run.
Socialism doesn't by default mean ORIGINAL socialism, but may be a compromise. and your last point, that's bullshit

point is that scandinavian socialism is NOT like the socialism Marx defined a long time ago, so we're discussing different matters.

That it will cause people not to get jobs even though they would like to?
waksibra 2 months ago

Maybe you would prefer a slave society.
kingofqwerty 1 month ago
wow... this is the most provoking video I've seen in a long time. You actually think things are things payed for with stolen money is free. Wow.
waksibra 2 months ago
I don't mean to burst your bubble, but there is no such thing as "free" healthcare. The healthcare you reviece is payed for with stolen money.
waksibra 2 months ago
@waksibra It's not stolen. Taxes are paid by all of us, and in this country, we get a lot in return. It's really unfortunate how many think the argument you made is valid.
See, if people don't like paying taxes, they could simply elect a government that would eradicate them. Thereby, we'd have to privatise everything that government currently takes care of.
Most danes don't want that, because what we have works.
TheAnMish 2 months ago
@TheAnMish
What is the act of theft? Taking someone's property without their permission.
What is the act of taxation? Taking someone's property without their permission.
Yes, YOU may treat it as permissible, but what if OTHER people don't? You are stealing from them.
Ilikemustard 2 months ago

Our economies are very different.
deathofsmokey 2 months ago
I think cheap privatised health care and low or no taxes sounds better so far, essentially. Libertarian philosophies, not Republican.
deathofsmokey 2 months ago
@deathofsmokey If only privatised health care was cheap.. maybe. It seems to me that it's not, though?
Either way, I've only ever lived in this one country, so I don't know what it's like to have to worry about health care, or education. And I like the idea of everyone helping to take care of everyone.
TheAnMish 2 months ago
@TheAnMish
I am undecided fully, though.
deathofsmokey 2 months ago
@deathofsmokey If the healthcare sytem in America is designed to reap profits for select industries then it is a huge success. If it is designed to provide a health service that benefits the nation then it is a huge failure.
Socialized medicine in this country would be beneficial to America overall. At least a public option would be successful.
No offense but some of the claims your making are just Republican talking points that have absolutely no basis in reality.
TheTruePooka 2 months ago
I haven't met an American from either party who thinks our health care system is fine. The debate is over how to fix it - you think socialized medicine would be beneficial (which I actually said it probably would) - but if I'm wrong, you should tell me why so I can think about your perspective. I'd appreciate that.
deathofsmokey 2 months ago
@deathofsmokey The medicaid system in NYC was a fairly efficient system. Private industry wanted their cut of that system so they lobbied to force medicaid recipients to have to go through private insurance carriers on the argument it would be cheaper.
The cost increase due to paying the private insurance carriers for doing what was an added, unnecessary administrative task added roughly 16% to the annual budget with no overall savings.
cont
TheTruePooka 2 months ago
@TheTruePooka So we're paying more in medicaid taxes for less services thanks to the introduction of private insurance into what was a passably working socialized system.
Also; because private insurance companies in America have a monopoly on setting medical services/ drug prices at exorbitant rates a vast number of people can't afford these services.
cont -
TheTruePooka 2 months ago
@TheTruePooka As a result people don't go to see doctors for general medicine. Which leads to cheaply treated issues becoming an incredibly expensive emergency problem. They end up at the ER. Because of our corrupt, inefficient privatized system a large percentage of the population uses the ER for common ailments, ailments that should be treated outpatient.
Since they can' afford to pay for that service, who do you think picks up the bill?
cont -
TheTruePooka 2 months ago

TheTruePooka 2 months ago
@TheTruePooka cont - you do.you pay with your tax dollars.
Your tax dollars go to paying 3k for an ER visit as opposed to 100 dollars for an outpatient visit (hospitals that do this sort of "charity care" are often subsidized by government funding to offset charity care costs that arise from our sh*t system).
And the drug companies and private insurance companies reap the benefits, all out of your pocket.
sure you don't want a socialized medical system in America? >.<
TheTruePooka 2 months ago
@deathofsmokey I know it's paid through taxes, but it's still called "free healthcare". That's its 'name', in a way. And I think I made it quite clear that I was aware of this. :)
TheAnMish 2 months ago
@TheAnMish
But it's not just taxes. Read my other rants lol Sorry to spam...but there's also the fact that...well...I think Americans kind of like to worry.

The Nazis were sick proponents of this, so it is wise to not base the judgment purely off of subjectivity in this case, and also consider the potential it has to do at more harm than good depending on who's in control.
jamesdragonforce 2 months ago
The problem with any form of socialism is that it can give the government way too much power. In smaller countries and in individual states, I like socialism a little better because that way things can run a little bit smoother, just as long as our rights are protected, which we're in grave danger of losing in my country (from what I've heard about the National Defense Authorization Act). So in smaller countries I can see tax-paid universal healthcare as much more efficient than the US cont.
jamesdragonforce 2 months ago
Here in Canada we also have a free health system - but no free dental care, at least in Ontario. I also can't understand why Americans are against free health even when people there are literally dying because they can't afford health insurance. Education is free until the end of high school. We pay for college/university, but much less than in the U.S. and there are many loans and scholarships so virtually anybody can have a higher education. I hope to visit Scandinavia some day. Tchau! :-)

50% tax, and free education and free health care
is same as, having 30% tax, and no free education and no free health is awesome.
India govt taxes every possible thing to give free loans to poor. It very hard to live in india. And, btw, people are not that happy in india.
I dont think socialism has anything to do with happiness.
mildpace 2 months ago
@mildpace Do you think comparing a secular first world country with a developing country dominated by a caste system might have more to do with the difference in reported happiness than a mixed market?

I agree, third world country government is not as efficient as first world country govt.
Correction: India is a secular democracy, like any developed country. And caste is not a big problem in india.

How difficult is it to move from America to Denmark, and become a citizen? I have both German and US Citizenship. Any thoughts? Thanks!
MonsuerLePlague 2 months ago
@MonsuerLePlague German citizenship should make it easier, I think.. 'cause then you already have a european citizenship. But the easiest way, is if you find a job here, and then apply to move. It tends to help the application, so far as I understand.
But.. the way the job market is these days.. meh. I don't know.
TheAnMish 2 months ago
@TheAnMish
Denmark isn't terribly successful though, really.
deathofsmokey 2 months ago
@deathofsmokey "Denmark isn't terribly successful though, really."
On what criteria and compared to whom? They have higher GDP per capita than most nations in the world. Their services are second to none. It's a cleaner country than most. It's people are happier than most.

It's not a scary word to me! I'd love to live in a socialist country.
M0US3P0T4TO 2 months ago
I feel like we do have socialism here in the states, just a different sort than you're used to.We've set up a market where financial institutions socialize their risk through tax dollars and privatize the profits generated with those moneys.I personally would prefer healthcare and weed but, there is a generation of people standing in the way of that progress.I think this is why progress comes in chunks. My generation will eventually get it's turn at bat and we'll probably fuck it all up too.
TheScheckig 2 months ago
Yeah, most Right wing Americans are perfectly fine with the idea that TRILLIONS of their tax dollars are spent to kill people in other counties, all in the name of "spreading freedom" (It's actually just done to ensure revenue flow for a few people). They don't mind that we spend 10 TIMES as much as ALL OTHER COUNTRIES COMBINED on our military (Even though we're the only superpower left) but spending a few billion of Taxpayer $ on TAXPAYERS is evil socialism. It doesn't make sense to me either.
nightmathzombieethan 2 months ago
Hmm... it seems to me you're suggesting that you have a great many serious worries taken off of your shoulders. Especially those that are particularly time sensitive. That's interesting.
TheTruePooka 2 months ago
@TheTruePooka Yeah, and I really think that's a big part of it. Because I don't think that we're "happier", but just more content. We feel safer and we have less worries.
Primarily because the big issues are taken care of for us. We all contribute to each others' healthcare and education, and that way, no one has to worry about it :)
TheAnMish 2 months ago
@TheAnMish
Make it as cheap as we can and don't rely on the gov.
deathofsmokey 2 months ago
@deathofsmokey When you consider that the average ER room visit with short term stay can cost easily upwards of 15k, work that in with the statistical likelihood as you increase in age that you'll suffer accident or ill health (an inevitability for most people)?
I'll bet she pays a lot less over a lifetime when you compare the taxes she pays to the cost she';d pay for privatized healthcare in America.
Assuming she could afford to pay it and didn't just die.
TheTruePooka 2 months ago
@TheTruePooka Hi buddy. In the EU (most of it) we consider healthcare a human right. The problem is how you pay for it. So we apply the best economic theories to pay for it.
In the US they put the wagon before the horse. Like education, healthcare, is a right. How to pay for it is second.
ILYIAB 2 months ago
