Oh, I remember "Escape (The Pina Colada Song)" , but what year in the 70's was without its dross? I'm just saying that by 1979, great RnR was back (on the airwaves) after the mainstream's rejection of punk. The early/ mid 70's were just too sporadic when it came to musical (and fashionable) good taste when it came to the mainstream.

@crapple009 Might I remind you in 1979 one of the worst records EVER, "Escape" by Rupert Holmes (aka "The Pina Colada Song") was a massive hit. Aside from whatever punk and new wave bands were creating alternative waves, 1979 SUCKED!
