  • THANK YOU!!!!!! I tried all the trouble-shooting methods in the Keurig manual and nothing worked until this.

  • @zaktor99 I agree. Bunns are better. My mother-in-law just bought us a brand new Mr. Coffee, new model and all, and that thing is 100% better than this Keurig. I'll try calling Keurig again, before I demolish the thing, and see if we could get a new one. Thanks for the reply!

  • I called Keurig, and this is what they told me to do. It worked great for a week, but then it it started to give one portions of what it is supposed to. It tells me to descale all the time, even a week after descaling ti twice. I let the vinegar set in it with the Keurig on to boil it, but it still didn't help much. I do the paper clip thing now, and it still doesn't work. I'm about to open it up myself and find the problem. Any ideas????

  • @rocki006 Okay, I gotta be honest... First off, I am glad that this video seemed to help a lot of people. Doing this paper clip cleaning helped me as well, but just as you mention it wasn't long before it acted up again.

My ULTIMATE SOLUTION: Was to call Keurig & complain that nothing was working and they offered to send me a BRAND NEW Keurig at no cost, EVEN A FULL YEAR AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. I then SOLD the new machine, and bought a BUNN coffee machine. Bunn > Keurig. :)

  • thanks

  • I'm going to try that, thanks!

  • Do you have lights in your house ?

  • Thank you so much!! I mean I haven't tried it yet lol and my problem with my B70 is that it pumps the water but doesn't release anything...perhaps clogged. But thank you regardless!!

  • what if it wont brew at all-would this still apply?

  • @caseylowe2 Hello. First make sure that the screen isn't giving you a message to "ADD WATER" - If it does and your water reservoir is full then you'll want to contact Keurig customer service (1-866-901-2739). But yes your brewer may not be brewing anything due to be completely clogged with grounds - so certainly try my steps in this video. Also make sure that your reservoir is seated correctly in the base of the unit and power cycling the unit (unplug it and plug it back in)

  • thanks, it worked

  • worked perfectly for my machine. Thanks for posting.

  • Thanks! This totally just worked for me after trying to de-scale my unit for the past hour. I appreciate that you took the time to make this video.

  • Try not to work in the dark next time so we can see what it is you are doing.

  • @donahu1 I am sorry that the video ended up so "dark". It really wasn't as dark in my kitchen as it seems watching this video.. All of my kitchen lights were on and there was light coming in some windows as well. The problem was because I used a fairly inexpensive digital camera to record this video and I noticed it on the LED screen on the camera. I tried to use a flashlight for this reason to make a better video, but it didn't help as much as I had hoped.

    I do apologize.

  • Worked perfectly for me... Thank you! I was up between midnight and 4:00am nursing my machine thru the de-scaling cycle, and if anything, the problem became worse. I'm now convinced that my last machine had precisely the same problem.

I'm toasting the screen with a perfectly brewed cup of Newman's Own Special Blend.

  • Thank You. My morning started off to coffee thanks to your fix!

  • Thank you SO much, this problem was driving me crazy!

  • Thx man,, worked like a charm.

  • Thanks for all the help! I was able to get the Keurig to work again with this video!

  • If your coffeemaker is less than 1 year old all you have to do is call kerig and they will replace it for free if they cant fix it 100% over the phone

  • BTW I just tried this and it worked great.

  • I think missy may also go by the name peggy.

  • @gabisdaddy12 Now that's funny

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH! This is just what I was looking for. Thanks for putting this together. It seems as though you have made a lot of people very happy!

  • Thank you sooo much for the help. I called Keurig and got no help at all. It was a wasted call!

  • Thanks so much for helping me! I'm hoping this fixes my problem. I have been on several videos, and none of them have said to do what you have suggested. I really appreciate it, and hope this works, but even if it doesn't I appreciate your help... I didn't get any help from Keurgi. So many people love the machine, but can't get it fixed... Happy New Year...Kym

  • Worked great for me, thanks! My Keurig is working normall again! After I did the cleanout tons of coffee grounds came out while flushing with water (no Kcup in place). Thanks!!!!

  • Save yourself the 6 minutes of watching this painfully slow video. Clean the needle with a paper clip and make sure the k-cup holder is clean and secure. The end. Thanks for the tips.

  • i know where that one dislike came from, can anybody say missy!

  • I dont see how this woman could be a Keurig employee. How did she even fill out an application? Her grammar is terrible.

  • @jazjon shut up we done with this... NEXT

  • Thanks, My new Keurig is only 3 weeks old, and this morning it wouldn't finish filling the cup. After poking the three holes around the spike, I'm back in business! Easy fix, will keep paper clip handy for future clogs. *cheers*!

  • Oh My God!! Screw Keurig customer service. You my friend get my vote for man of the year!!

  • Thank you for the help. We thought we were going crazy.

  • Good Video, If Missy is really a Keurig employee maybe she has a suggestion as to how to fix the low cup problem???

  • You might want to turn on a light in the room or use a work light. Good info video however. I do a lot of things with as much light as possible due to my low vision and also carefully touch with finger watching the sharp needles in the Keurigs. Thanks for the info.

  • Thank you!!!! I have tried the descaling and poked every other hole according to the manual. For the record, I will spend hours researching and troubleshooting, including scouring the countless videos and FixYa sites, rather than spend 5 minutes on the phone with a rude, unknowledgeable customer service person who is reading from a script and hates their job. Keep making the videos!

  • wow, thanks for the tip. I tried it and 2 minutes later I was making coffee!

  • Thanks! It worked

  • Thank you it fixed my problem!!!!!!!

  • @Missy21ify Wow, what an idiot you are. If you really do work for Keurig, you should be fired for butchering the English language alone. Somehow you post statements that WE THE PAYING CUSTOMERS owe YOU anything. How arrogant can a person be? Let me put this straight to you as a business owner myself, YOU work for US, not Keurig. Plus, who has the time to call some corporate call-center during THEIR business hours? I would fire you on the spot for posting this as a rep of my company.

  • BLESS YOU! I just bought a replacement 2 weeks ago after my first one lasted a couple of years and couldn't believe I was having the same problems as before!

  • Did the trick perfectly. Thanks so much.

  • This fix worked for me, too. Thanks. My only suggestion would be to light up your work area when recording how-to videos, too dark.

  • @zartor99 Im no the one that made the coffee maker I just take calls and if u can do my job then come work for us then because its not fair that customers argue with us because we are going by the rules and policys because U MADE UR VIDEO. No offense

  • I went through all of the descaling stuff too and it was when I was rinsing mine out with cold water that I noticed all the coffee grounds spewing out (no K Cup in the slot). It's probably a good idea to periodically clean it out by running a brew cycle with no coffee in there. Thanks so much for sharing!

  • Thanks Zaxtor99. This was perfect! I was only using my Keurig for tea water but it would jam when I had the K cup in the holder. Your solution was quick, easy, and effective!

  • Thank you so much for posting this video!!! I was going to buy a new Keurig, but I did what you demonstrated and it worked. You saved me 150 bucks!

  • @Missy21ify So... let me get this right - Many customers have thanked me for showing them how I fixed my Keurig coffee maker and how this video helped them fix theirs as well. You say that you work for Keurig and customers with similar problems ARGUE with you and considering that, you think I should remove this video? Sorry for making your job "harder" Missy, but perhaps you should suggest to your management to consider referring customers to a video like mine here to make your job "easier"?

  • @zaxtor99 All I can say is thank goodness for google. I just found your video...I just took a paper clip and fixed our coffee maker in 2 minutes. Did not have to send it off and do without it for a month and take the chance of it getting damaged in the process.. thank you.. thank you .. thank you... Sorry Missy... you are loosing business if you truly are a trouble shooter.

  • @Missy21ify - Get a grip.

  • @Missy21ify I think you are a fake troll-joker, and are NOT a real employee. This fix is easy and non invasive. (poke, poke, poke, fixed)

  • @Missy21ify you sound just like the guy from office space. Yeaaaaaahhh. im a gonna need you to come in onnnn........ Saturday. okay? peter?

  • @Missy21ify Why is she looking up how to fix a Keurig if she has all the answers?

  • @Missy21ify srkrabble posted a bulletin 1 second ago

Great for Keurig, that they assist their customers: but it'd probably be better if you guys actually replied to email requests for problems. I emailed Keurig last month and still haven't heard anything... maybe you guys are 2 busy? youtube and many of it's contributors give great tech advise and have assisted me in fixing anything from cars, to installing radios, to repairing cell phones... now, I'll add fixing coffee makers!

  • @Missy21ify I have 2 Keurigs and have had this same problem twice!!!!

  • @Missy21ify The Keurig B70 manual specifically recommends cleaning the exit needle port with a paper clip (it's on page 14, y'all). Cleaning the ports on the injection needle -- which is actually more accessible -- (now) seems like a no-brainer. You may wish to familiarize yourself with this easily user-serviceable component, and its function, before commenting any further.

You can rest assured that I'll be contacting Green Mountain Coffee on this issue.

  • thank you so much for sharing this video, like most keurig owners I also had same problem and as a coffe lover I just can not thank enough

  • Tried this and running vinegar through mine...finally when I ran diluted CLR through it did it clear the clog and run like brand new.

  • worked for me thanks!

  • Thanks! Worked like a charm

  • I had the problem you talked about and it got so bad it would not even make a cup of coffee it would just give me an error message of (not ready), I cleaned the hole with a needle but I needed to go in further with the paper clip.

    Thank you.

  • @01107515 - YES!!!! That's my kuerigs problem as well & don't know why.

    Grrrrrr

If you figure it out, I'd love to know!!

  • You're a lifesaver!!! Thx for posting this!

  • Amazing, it worked beautifully! Thank you very very much.

  • I was about to throw mine away too! Thank you!

  • Thanks for sharing! It works perfectly as describe!.

  • i cant see F***********

  • Thank you!!!

  • Thanks much. D-A-D-D-Y needed C-O-F-F-E-E.

  • Has anyone had the problem of water flowing back into the reservoir as it is brewing and therefore producing only partial cups of coffee?

  • @01107515 Yes. I am looking into why now. Did you have any luck? Is that what it is suppose to do?

  • Please message me your email address to I can paypal you a donation, you just made my wife so happy! Thank you!!!!! I was surprised how much old coffee grounds came out after I did that even after "descaling"

  • @db336 Thanks for sharing your happiness that this worked for you, that is payment enough! Take care and enjoy your coffee!!

  • Brilliant! Thanks so much for sharing. Worked like an absolute charm, and I'm now sitting back and enjoying a full cup of my favorite coffee!!

  • Great stuff! Your very helpful comments solved my problem right away! I *never* would've figured it out without your help. Seriously. We're talking about the difference between me throwing away what seemed like another piece of plastic junk and hanging on to something that makes great coffee. I really appreciate it.

  • Maybe u didn't choose the right size

  • cont.

I read that some people fixed this problem by just flipping it over without "cleaning" anything. Remember, I tried your cleaning fix with the machine upright.

Then, I flipped it over without cleaning and that did work.

So I am wondering if this worked for you because of the "cleaning the nozzle" thing or if it just worked because you flipped it over. When it's flipped over, it gurgles water out, that seems to be the fix. My advice to everyone is flip it...flip it good!

    Thanks Again!

  • I descaled this weekend and it did not help. I watched your video and my machine is back to normal. Thank you.

  • Thank you very much!!!!

  • Mine was doing the exact same thing. Followed your fix, which did not work 100%, after using the paperclip I started the brew cycle and gave a few firm slaps just behind the handle to open brewer and the cup had a bunch of coffee grinds in it. My Keurig started brewing correctly after a good spanking.

  • Turn on some lights!

  • Many thanks!

  • I tried this and it still is giving me a half cup of coffee:(

  • Thanks bro. You saved my machine

  • THANKS!!!
