After watching this,I went to Bugatti.com and ordered my custom Veyron.I bought a Grand Sport.It took 7 months to arive in Beverly Hills but it was worth a wait for a piece of such engineering.Only downside is you can't floor it on the roads of 90210 and it cost me $3.5M but it was worth it.

Great doc. My appreciation for the BV just upped 10-fold. Which car is faster, which is more expensive, which is this, which is that....all immaterial and irrelevant at this level. Awesome engineering will always be awesome.

i do hope that these people who glorify the ssc ultimate aero realize the price is around 650k. not 250k (base aero price), but 650k. Im sure if you can afford the ultimate aero, you can afford the veyron. If i were to put my life in the hands of the ssc i would be shitting my pants because they most defiently would not be able to afford all of this testing and safety nets the bugatti has

First there was the Concorde and now ... this. European engineering at its best. German know how and perfection have given the world a road car that can go 408 km / h. To make things even more interesting, the Super Sport set the world record at 431 km/h. This car is in a class of its own and the 'challengers' such as Shelby and those super tuned GTRs are a bad joke.

The engineering that went into the Veyron is amazing, I wish they would go a bit deeper into that and the challenges they faced. It would be interesting to see in what way they would/could improve it since it`s launch in 2005.

Also the people who dismiss this car or say that a SuperAero JackHammer 5566287 Wowowowweewaa is just as fast as this for one tenth the price are just plain ignorant

thanks for posting this! NG done a excellent job explaining everything unique and grand about the marvel super car. Unfortunately, I was disappointed in Buggatti's web site. It only had a virtual tour of the French assemble factory and didn't explain much about the design, testing, assembly, and specification of the awesome machine.

@megabowzer I agree. In real world terms, this should have never hit the market because its about as close to God making a car as we are bound to get within the next 50 years.

Think about it, ITS A VW THAT GOES 260 MPH! It is an actual CAR, that you take your kids to school in. Its a CAR not just tires and an engine. Think about the amazing achievement! This is more complex and more unreal and more amazing and more "this CANT be real" than any other 4 wheel machine on the face of Tera!

@megabowzer it really is a bargain considering,that to build one car, it costs about 5 million €, an they sell it for about 1, - 1,5 million. that´s a pretty big loss for a car company to make. :P

@TheHelo10 That's just spare change for them...when you see how much they charge for new cars and the profit margins they make on those... Just looking at the facilities they use and the connections they have in all industries. Well, safe to say they can afford to have a little tinker with something like the Veyron. And that's only a tiny fraction of their yearly marketting budgets which shows how grossly overpriced their products are. The Veyron's still cool as cucumbers regardless

You could say the same thing with racing industries from Lemans to Formula One. Veyron project is actually the cost of on of yearly Formula One team budget. When you will have your own factory, come back stating about the overprice.

The SSC Aero is a glorified kit-car. Infact SSC company used to build Lamborghini replica kits and amazingly used that very same replica kit when they started making the SSC Aero. Which is why its got all the proportions of a 90s Diablo. The build quality of a SSC cant even be compared to a lower end Porsche or even a family hatchback. Comparing it to a Veyron simply because its quick is like comparing a Chevvy to a Ferrari because of the cupholders. Americans dont understand supercars.
