  • My girl friend and i are thinking about joining UU, we both grew up in Roman Catholic families. As i got older i didn't really understand certain hypocrisies in religion. This religion seems very reasonable and level headed. I dislike the mentality of if you don't believe what we believe, your a sinner, and your going to hell. I don't think that is what Jesus would have preached or any great prophet for that matter.

  • @evolkram I was raised and I am still one of Jehovahs Witnesses but I am 50 years old now and I can no longer live a lie. I cannot exist in a religion that teaches that you either believe in every thing or nothing. I am planning on leaving the Jehovahs Witnesses and becoming a Unitarian Universalist. I stand to loose alot. My wife is very unhappy with me and my mother and father will not even talk to me if I set foot in a Unitarian congragation under the condoning of the Jehoavahs witnesses.

  • you guys have great sermons - should definitely start a facebook page!

  • @coopedupinculture Thanks ^_^. I'll put it before the committee, we might get some traction (democracy can get funny sometimes especially when its intergenerational).
