This is all Bull. Free Trade Destroyed all manufacturing in the United States which was the back bone of our country. Free Trade put millions out of jobs. Americans cannot compete with Slave Labor. We need tarriffs to bring back manufacturing. How could anyone in their Right Mind say Tarriffs will hurt us, unless your not American. Just look at what Free Trade did to America.

@rocksiphone Well for the first time in a long time the US added manufacturing jobs this month. Also if China revalued their currency (instead of basing it off of the dollar) it would make goods more expensive to buy from China. This would cause more manufacturing jobs. But because China isn't playing by the free trade rules, it screws up the system.
But yes in the short run, tariffs/quotas help protect, but in the long run with free trade a country is better off.

@rocksiphone haha free trade didnt hurt the US, the minimum wage and protectionism did. Americans are losing jobs because the government is raising the cost of US workers. Right, the smoot-hawley tariff worked so well in saving jobs
