  • nice 2 vid responces,good luck again

  • Her Oasis looked so inviting!

    The drive, Oh so familiar- I'll be heading that way next month.

  • Technology at it's finest.

    What a great mash of your trip! Your music tracks are really blowing me away...

  • Finally someone used the word mash on this video! This was actually several trips (Caylyn taught me editing online and in person).

  • Very nicely done! It was a pleasure to watch. The editing made me kind of jellous cause it was fantastic. Cheers. One day I might actualy get a video right lol.

  • wow...thanks for the comment on the editing. I watch your stuff for editing! lol you get videos right, don't worry about that.

  • Ahh ur the best man, I cant wait till your next works.

    peace

    dan

  • looks like it was a blast :) love the grotto and the furry tree and as much as i am a sea girl, i thought the scenery was LOVELY :)

  • all my trips out there were great fun! the desert is full of surprises ;~}

  • those dogs weren't buying those fake Eagles either... the girl was a dead giveaway ;)

  • ...you realize that it's required of every band in the state to know "Hotel California" and they've all performed a 1000s of times. Overall the band was pretty good and they did some original stuff that was better that the "gig music" they were paid for. The obligatory girl with a joan jett haircut...

  • those dogs were a whole other great side story, btw.

  • all those fans and its STILL 110 every day there hehe

  • That looked like a great trip.

    I loved that tree & i expect you'd need a nice little oasis like that to eacape some of the summer heat :)

  • It actually several trips starting in June and was great traversing the desert in the summer but oasis or a ramada respites are a requirement!

    I drive in an area about a 500-700 mile radius from Phoenix a lot and that covers an area including southern Rocky Mountains, the Continental Divide as well as desert and lakes with water! The camera has become a constant companion on these trips now.

  • Sounds good to me & what a great area to cover :)

  • Great editing on your trip vlog, JR. Your in with the Pros now. Love the depth in your video , like a master chef with the spices to entertain our sense. Bravo

    Something i need to learn too more of. You Inspire =)

  • Thanks for the compliments on the editing, it's taken me awhile to grasp a lot of it. Great way to describe it! I like that.

  • Intriguing looking tree in that little oasis!

    Not that you and Caylyn aren't also interesting.

    :-)

    Okay, that guy whipping his balls around is making me nervous.

    !!!

  • That guy was a safe distance but kind of wandering in a general area and I wondered what would happen if I happened to video while one went astray, hitting some object, ricocheting...

  • hey it's great to see you making videos again! and you can't ask for a better hostess than Caylyn.

    This was fun - did that trip (but from NM in April- when it was much cooler!)

    nice editing -you've had a good mentor!

  • You know each time I was there the weather was cooler than normal...actually all the deserts this side of the Continental Divide were fairly cool most of this summer. Nice area there, as you know.

    Hey thanks on the editing. Caylyn has been a very good mentor. ;~}

  • Well this is most impressive! So now that Caylyn has you hooked on the editing bug, I suppose there is no stopping you? lol I hope you don't stop. ;)

  • Why thanks! I'm already working on more videos...I'm hoping to challenge people like you to make even more impressive videos! LOL

    well?

  • HahA! That was a lot of fun - you captured what seems like a really nice time. I like your music, too. 5 stars :-)

  • It was a great time!

  • What a wonderful video featuring two of my favoutite You Tubers. Caylyn's peace garden was so tranquil, a great place to reflect I would imagine. the band were good too.

  • This was a great summer for reflecting and gaining perspective. That was a fun night at the concert!

  • Wow JR...that was worth the wait! Your skills are getting pretty good. I wish I had someone like Caylyn to walk me through learning this stuff. By the way...I liked the name of that band. ; )

  • I kept telling you guys I was going to do more videos but I understand why people were beginning to doubt after a year! It was harder to learn than I thought it would be and I was very fortunate to have Caylyn's teaching me. She's a great friend.

    ...and of course I immediately thought of you when I first heard the name of the band! ;~}

  • LOL! i am laughing at Marcs description in the information box ' Video Editor Operating Error Resue' !!

    Great video JR and again it's so lovely to see a video from you, keep them coming!

    It all looks so beautiful and peaceful in Caylyns garden!

    Loved to hear her sing too!

    She's lovely and so are you

    x hugs x

  • Oh! you don't know how Marc has rescued me after I did what Caylyn told me over and over again not to do! I'm a hard headed learner...I laughed one day when Caylyn was telling me to read the directions and I thought of you and me and reading directions!

    Caylyn lives in a very peaceful, calm area known for a lot of different unique qualities. Her house and garden reflects that. She's a very genuine person and a pleasure to be around.

  • Well done, JR! Very, very well done!!! Now, I have to open Sony and figure out how you did that text cutout.

  • Thanks Marc, appreciate that. You mean there's something I can teach you in editing? who knew? LOL

  • Looks like you had a great trip, I love the shots of the oasis!

  • yeah...isn't that cool?

  • Oh, btw, this isn't the central California hi desert...it's the sounthern California hi desert...:-)

  • See how it is? I know that and put "southern California" everywhere else and just realized I had put it in the opening incorrectly. ah well...

  • hahaha! Yep...I know how it is...editing is fun!! :-)

  • Bravo on your edit, JR!! It was great having you visit! The concert was a blast, with the exception of that guy and all the little dogs barking...lol I heard the phone ring in the video and picked up the phone here to answer it...I'm such a dweeb...hahaha! The "Peace Grotto"...LOL Seeing that Joshua Tree from that angle sure shows how BIG that tree has gotten! You brought the greatest weather with you for your visits! Couldn't have been more perfect weather! See you again soon! :-)

  • Thanks for everything you've taught me about video editing...I know it was hard! It makes a lot more sense now and I have a new creative outlet...I love that!

    I figured that guy's dogs added to the ambiance! LOL! What great visits and many thanks to you and your family and friends for being so nice! This has been quite a summer, huh? These are times we will remember ;~}

  • Thank YOU for the dedication! How sweet! :-) I'm counting on continued memories...and help with the "village"...:-) xoxoxo
