Hi Chuck, I can't believe you might actually be reading this. I love your playing and your CD's are always in my car everywhere I go. Your so versatile both ensemble and solo. So few players can do both so flawlessly! Have you ever tried a 7 string like Charlie Hunter? I am experimenting with my own hybrid guitar.
Wow if your really reading this, please respond so I can tell my sister! She was the first person who told me about you and she will flip!! Thanks!
*smile* :) I always have the same problem at the end of the recording (messing with all those buttons on the computer ;)). So, you set the recording input to your audio interface? (derived from seeing, but not hearing you talk at the end...? ;)). Masterful performance, as usual! Your daughters are so lucky to have a dad who - I'm sure - played many a lullabies like this to them, when they were little. *applause*
Chuck you are truly top class! I looked for your albums but only found contemporary layed back sounding ones, which is fine and all but I was after something of yours more "trad" and "swinging". Any suggestions? Cheers!
Hi Chuck. Love your guitar playing. I play Jazz guitar myself but not that good. I was wondering if you couls recommend a good book for me to start. Most books available are rock music. I could use some help. Love your music AS IS. Thanks =)
Estoy agradecido a Dios que te haya dado ese hermoso talento. Gracias Chuck por haberlo desarrollado, y oir tu musica sea un deleite maravilloso. Saludos desde Argentina
thank you for sharing this (as well)!! what a family! would be awesome to see a video of you together! you must have some great times improvising together!
Love your playing, Chuck! Thanks for sharing this. One day I hope to see you live here in the south. I listen to (and am musically inspired by) your smooth Jazz constantly, while your straight jazz picking and harmony is phenomenal...a Joe Pass reincarnation. Look forward to more.
AMAZING...i love your music your way of playing. I saw you a few years ago, at Lanzarote in "la villa de teguise" with Eric MArienthal and Josh Dion..was very bonito.. ;) came again please.. un saludo.
I can't believe how fortunate we are to have someone of your caliber not afraid of contractual problems, management naysayers etc, to play right in our face like this. Chuck thank you so much for sharing these! I was your fan before but these vids that you've posted have elevated you to new level of musical intimacy.
The only"smooth" jazz guitarist who can really play jazz . I still consider GB a real jazz guitarist who has the hippest flexibility. Some of the smooth jazz guitar "giants" won't touch a tune like this on record.Because they can't swing as deep! Stan would be proud of you!
I lose count how many times I log in to youtube just to watch this video and the autumn leaves video. I can't get enough of listening to your amazing playing. Hey Chuck, how about putting out a jazz standards album in which you play unaccompanied, like in these videos? I can't wait to see your show at Catalina's Jazz Club in May!
Mr.Chuck Loeb...You are most assuredly, "THE MAN"...I love Wes, and Pat, and George, but most of all I LOVE WHAT YOU DO...Thank you for being THE MAN!!!!
Very Nice Chuck! I'm a friend of Guitarist Malcolm Horne from Hilton Head SC. I'm the guy that made the smooth jazz track that Malcolm played on I-70 East.
Chuck, your playing is just as beautiful as ever. I remember hearing you way back in the Office days in Nyack, you always had that great sound and much soul. thanks!
Chuck Loeb you are awesome! (By the way my brother Mel Brown played on one of your albums - The guitar sounds you get are fantastic - how do you record your guitar - microphones? direct? - preamp? (which ones - I'm dying to know!)) Rayford
hi chuck , im an avid fan... thanks for posting this vdo... nice playing all the time. i will love if can post some vdo's from "wrapped in dreams" with spyro gyra.
hi there. i got to know your playing through the group metro, and was searching for vids - and then i found this. had no idea you played stuff like this too - i usually listen more to fusion stuff but i just loved this. Incredible, definately one of the recordings in this style that has spoken to me the most. 10/5
Your "straight ahead" stuff is fantastic. Please consider reposting your other videos - they were great too! I would love to hear you on CD doing this sort of thing.
Thanks again Carmen. Not to sound like a superfan, but I really love this guy. Honestly - how incredibly talented do you have to be to compose for network tv, deliver flawless renditions of the classics, yet bring more funk than George Clinton? I could go on all day, but suffice it to say, as long as you play, Chuck, I'll listen - and buy everything.....sometimes twice.
