the aerial you just make in a similar way to the normal coil types, but instead of 1/4 wave you need to measure for 5/8th wave so start with the basis of 21ft you then need to shorten it, 16ft is an example length you can do it more or less, top or center load it and use an analyzer to tune it..

i can't believe people think these antennas are any better than the next one..
as example i have a Sirio 827, a shakespeare big stick and a 1/4 102" wave whip..,
only 1 S point difference between the 827 and the 102" whip, the shakespeare is the worse..!!
on mobiles, i've tried them all, even made my own and the 102" whip was the best, unless it was a 16' loaded 5/8th but size is everything..!!
oh well money talks i suppose..
