  • thats very interesting, she smells the kitten and immediately knows that kittens not for her. but instead of harming the kitten she gently puts it down.

  • i like this vid because it show how gentile gorillas are but still very dangerous it could probably rip the kitten in half if it wanted too

  • koko has little idea that it is a cat, koko longs for an actual baby she can hold

  • Such an Intelligent person :D

  • @lester5192 how do you have time to watch YouTube when you are so busy helping unfortunate kids?

  • Id be scared that koko would get angry but she seems nice its just the fact she is stronger than 10 men

  • @lester5192 dont you have better things to do? instead of commenting on every one of these videos bashing people for their love of animals go feed some ethiopians then.shit.

  • Waste of time with this gorilla. Set it free in the jungle and help some unfortunate kids who want help.

  • @lester5192 ken it is people like you that sicen e yure sayng set HER free not it into the wil well explain wat willhappen when we humas destroy te restof her habtat in the wild were will they all go its good there arestill animal lovers in te world we have destroyed most of there space its time to help te animals the kis youre refering get help but it is rely up t theirgovermets howthy help their own people am no saying it wrong tohelp them bt still animals need more help now a days aswell

  • @buchan448 sorry abutspelling mistakes here my keyboard is broken :)

  • koko craves a baby gorilla, not a baby cat, i sense some sadness in koko watching these videos

  • It blows my mind that there some people believe animals don't have souls.

  • Do Gorillas see colour? Koko seems to only be interested in the ones with a pattern in their fur.

  • @NMbarrassment it doesnt matter if the kitten is solid colored or patterned, the gorilla sees in shades of grey and can see the pattern still, just not in colors. :)

  • IT MUST BE AMAZING WORKING WITH THIS REMARKABLE CREATURE...I ENVY YOU!

  • 2:23 *SMELL* OH SHIT!!

  • at the end: forever alone cat is forever alone

  • Koko needs a sick 20 million dollar mansion for real with a enclosed jungle backyard river, lakes. waterfalls, the whole nine!!!!!

  • @mack11223 im not sure i understand what you are trying to say..she had a kitten that was hit by a car and it was hard to deal with but to replace it would be the logical thing to do. koko is very gentle with the kittens and treats them as her own baby. so whats the problem?

  • @mack11223 her 1st cat was hit by a car : ( and the second of natural causes, idiot...

  • @mack11223 Koko has had many that have lived to their natural ages, she's very good with them.

  • @mack11223 Go fuck yourself, idiot. Seriously, just kill yourself. Everyone in the comment section that read your comment just got brain cancer. Thanks for reading, fuck yourself with a rake.

  • @mack11223 dumb piece oh shit! koko needs friends.

  • this is sooo cute i want to smash my fucking face in to this keyboard!!

  • Wait, is this the young hippie girl from Koko: A Talking Gorilla which I've just done watching? And dang, Koko got huge. Is Michael still alive? Do they have talking monkey children? Is Koko now a master at using keyboard words in English. How many words/signs does it know? Where can I learn more about what's been happening with Koko from the time of the documentary to the present day.

  • Comment removed

  • @PushMyCarr Yes its now Dr. Penny Patterson and Michael's is dead. Koko new mate is Ndume. No monkey children yet. Koko can read and understand verbal English but only can sign responses. Koko understands and uses over 1000 words of sign.--

  • The last 10 seconds were like the pope kissing haha cutee <3 :D

  • ela precisa de um baby

  • Koko is looking a bit chubby. Is she a normal weight?

  • @imRyRy that is about the body-size she should have. you can tell when an ape is overweight in their breasts hers are flat

  • The way Koko interacts with the kittens is adorable. I like how all her random shifting is actually her oiving to stop the kitten from getting away from her.

  • Omg koko is the cutest thing ever! My eyes watered when she kissed the kitten<3333

  • Penny was soooo hot. It's been 40 years.. She's still beautiful though. Koko is not special, She's just a normal Gorilla. All Gorillas are precious.

  • I WANT TO MEET KOKO! CAN THERE BE A CONTEST? :)

  • Oh yeah a gorilla ambassador, genuis idea!

  • is she fat or pregnant or its normal she has a big belly??

  • ROFLMAO! 2:21 *picks up* *smells* *puts down*

  • @MischievousHeart I laughed reading your comment then laughed harder watching it LMFAO

  • @superJvlogs Glad I could make you laugh:)

  • I've watched all the posts on koko, she is a cute animal, but I'm afraid that's all I see ie a trained animal.

  • Don't want that one lool

  • I look forward to finding out what happens with the kitten. It would be wonderful if Koko could adopt. I know she pretended to nurse her stuffed-Gorilla babies. Perhaps she would produce milk for an adopted baby after a short while. I feel like that is part of the "whole" dream. But I would love to see her have the dream of a baby come true.

  • Love it when Koko Burps !!!!

  • this makes me want to have a little kitten but mostly a gorilla like koko :)

  • KO KO is so Gentle

  • It'd be awesome if when she was holding the first one she signed All Ball!

  • koko will be an extraordinary mother someday, hopefully :)

  • Very cute video. Keep on sharing them please

  • What happened to Ndume? Is she not able to have a baby with him? :(

  • @superspiffz In the special on PBS some years back, Penny explained that there is usually one male and several females in a Gorilla family. They thought at that time that Koko probably didn't feel "right" with the situation. It may tell about it on their web site (koko.org). You can purchase the PBS documentary named "Conversations with Koko" on the website. Hope this helps. Ann

  • does peny has a children?

  • Please make it happen for Koko to be a mother.

  • Awww, i love Koko...she's SO GENTLE with the kittens too!

  • @sixaremycharms yeah, I noticed...especially when I try to post more than two comments on one page...it's like pulling teeth to get something to post! LOL

  • @sixaremycharms And so many places to play hide and seek! lol I <3 Koko!

  • a woman raises a gorila to raise a cat

  • @sirbestnameever ...and you can't see any other value in the entire process but that? At least Koko can spell gorilla. lol!

  • I wished you did more videos :)

  • This is so amazing (and very cute I must say). Thank you so much for filming and sharing.

  • the one koko is playing with looks like all ball. which is probably why she likes her the most.

  • @BabyZora i agree, every time she gets a new baby she is dedicated to that one

  • :) glad you 2 r well - luv ya

  • You are taking mounts to upload a few minute vids. Why is that? They are very interesting. There should be mych more of them.

  • I'm sure there must be an orphaned gorilla somewhere out there for Koko to adopt. I would love to see that relationship develop...

    I miss AllBall too...

  • @aragee ...and bring about the rise of the apes? lol

  • I never subscribed to a channel until now, and the video seems to be taking an awful long time to load. Has anyone else noticed this? I love watching these videos, but they seemed to load a lot faster before I subscribed. :(

  • @munchkinsmomable that isn't a good reason to unsubscribe..

  • @ChineseCow709 but if they upload faster the other way, it is. I LIKE watching these, just not waiting forever. Could be my computer, who knows. It's only a year old, though.

  • Hi Penny, Hi Koko!

  • Do you know why she's so selective about the kittens?

  • @hollybee43 It's akin to when we humans go to a pet store or visit the humane society, and there's always that "one" particular puppy or kitten we are drawn to. Why should it be any different for Koko? They are our closest relatives, after all.

  • thank you for another wonderful koko video

  • lol it's almost like she picks them out by smell there at the end :P *Sniff Sniff* Na not this one. I hope she gets her own gorillia baby! ... Is she too old to have her own? or would it be to dangerous for her to be with a male gorillia? Then again there's alway artificial insemination

  • ❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡KOKO♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤

  • omg a new upload

  • koko would make an excellent mother!

  • So which kitty did Koko decide to "adopt" and did she give said kitty a name?

  • This is extremely interesting, I love watching Koko actually thinking and communicating with these people, these folks are the best and have devoted nearly their entire lives to Koko, most of us would say that Koko has had a good life, yet part of me feels very sad for her...

  • @dale3858 I'm thinking Koko has had a much better life than most gorillas. Granted, she's not in the wild where she belongs, but neither have gorillas in their natural habitats been given the opportunity to actually own and love a kitten, much less show us that they have the capability to do so. Koko obviously enjoys the ability to communicate her feelings to humans as well, and when you think of all we've learned about these magnificent creatures, it's hard to imagine a world without her.

  • @munchkinsmomable I hope she is truly happy...

  • @dale3858 Well, me too....perhaps someday there will be a way to communicate to Koko the world's appreciation for all we've learned from her and her alone. Now that is kind of sad, not knowing if she realizes what a contribution she's made to the world and our much greater understanding of her species. If that's not an amazing thing to learn, I don't know what is. I only wish more people could appreciate what these people have accomplished and shared with us.

  • @dale3858 She is actually going to have one i believe

  • @dale3858 Why?

Would you rather she get killed and butchered for her meat and fur?

I'm pretty sure this is the better option.

  • Comment removed

  • You obviously have not been following her story. She wants a baby, in captivity so far that has not been possible. In nature she probably would have experienced a baby. We need to protect these animals in their own environment, so they can live normal lives without worry of being killed for their meat or fur. A circus may be safer too, but we know that it's not better.

  • @dale3858 What?

The reason why she had no baby is because she spent most of her time learning to communicate with humans, and yes. I have been following her story, i know its too late for her to have a baby now. There are over 700 wild gorillas, and that population is declining. So no matter how you put it, she had a much better life then she would've had if she just stayed in the wilds. Also, one gorilla not giving birth is completely out-weighed by the researched done by koko and her carers.

  • @TheDarklord0211 No, there are times when she wasn't spending her time to communicate with humans and try to reproduce but couldn't. And was it Koko's fault that the gorilla's population is declining? No. It's humans' fault. And if it wasn't for humans, Koko's life would have been much better in the wild. But noo, humans have to sit on their big asses and show all the reasons why it's okay to keep them captivity and poach them when there's all the reason to not to do that.

  • @dale3858 She would have a baby if she quit friendzoning all the males...

  • @dale3858 I get that feeling too. Maybe it's because of Koko, that I realize how intelligent our cousins in the primate tree are? How much we, and they, could learn from eachother.

  • @Keijikrall lol

  • @dale3858 I know what you mean maybe its cause she looks sort of depressed

  • i wanna see how she reacts to king kong lmao

  • They dont show the part were Koko accidentally suffocates one while she napped.

  • @rabbitphobia Koko would never put a baby in harms way. She's a very good "mother."

  • Koko is so sweet and gentle. She deserves a baby.

  • i love Koko's vids. thanks for sharing

    :)

  • N'aaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
