  • "Look good, feel good, smell right, find a wife, do a dance, socialize: BREAK."

This is seriously the most glossed over line in this song. but it hits me right in the heart.

  • I love his monotone drawl. The chorus is so 'blah' and doesn't sound very emotive, but it works so perfectly!

  • Reuben!

  • wow

  • ur awesome :D

  • I did a double take cause I thought it was Ryan Clark too.

  • i loved it. John Reuben your awesome!

  • that chick i cute. any one agree?

  • I love this song. Great job!

  • What city was this filmed in?

  • Columbus, Ohio

Type 10 webster park ave, columbus ohio into Google Maps and zoom in as much as you can until you get to the personal viewer, and you will see the intersection when John meets the runner with the short shorts

  • Love the "Don't know who you are" part (35 sec)

  • The flower seller is really cute!

  • @bluessuntoday

yes, thank you! finally someone who realizes that the song must be taken within context. it frustrates me to keep listening to everyone offer unfounded criticisms about his walk with God. I am a follower of Christ, a Christian. Not every sentence that comes from my lips contains the name of God; but i can still offer advice to someone or instruct someone about making choices...and they can know that my words have been founded in the right place.

    think for yourself, people.

  • I totally agree man. The same thing happened when the rap group GRITS didn't talk about God in all their songs on their new album. These artists may be Christian but they still keep their songs positive and instructive on how to live a good life and learn from mistakes. Just because they aren't talking about Jesus in all their songs doesn't mean they aren't still making music that is fun and still pleasing in God's eyes.

  • Ok. The next album is called "Sex Drugs and Self Control" or something of the sort. All of these new videos are dealing with this subject. They are figurative. If you look at this one, for instance, you could say that he is wandering away from his life, what is important. When he is finally confronted with the problem, he realizes his mistake and runs as fast as he can away. Flee from temptation, like. He runs home; love doesn't care where you have been, it is just glad you are back!

  • Eh... I really don't like the new Reuben... which is sad because he was one of my fav artists for a while.

  • @PouchFilms Every artist will have a part of their career that all of the fans will like. Just give him some time. I think this album is just fine. I like the songs I've heard from it personally. I am hoping that you don't think he is straying from God. I don't think he is, personally.

  • @TheAtcyJAC Naw, it just sounds unorganized and not as focused. His projects before - he seemed like he knew what he was doing. This seems a little messy and a random, and not in a good way. I haven't checked out this new album yet, and I most likely will, but yeah. His faith with God is between him and God, and as long as his music isn't blasphemous, I won't judge his music based on how I perceive his faith. Haha. Thanks for commenting, though! (I didn't want to sound too harsh in tone. )

  • @PouchFilms That is a relief to read. But don't worry, John Reuben will knock us out of the park next time. I believe I do see what you're talking about. All of his new songs seem good, but lack the organization and flow his previous albums had. Either way, let's not write this album off, and wait to see what John Reuben brings us next time. Even if this album is a flunk, it's okay, all professionals have their flunks.

  • I'm beginning to like John's new music less and less, and I'm really disappointed by that. I'm not saying his latest songs have been terrible or anything, it's just not been what I was expecting it to be like...

On the other side of things, his videos are still amazing!

  • Yeah. There aren't enough bears in this one.

  • i didn't even know about this song! :o

love the music video tho XD

  • oh peple get over it. the rose thing is an expression of the tension of the moment. he's not sayin "hey everyone...go steal roses!" *rolls eyes*

  • I heard there is a church is Arizona who is boycotting john because he stole those roses at the end. bad example for the kids, I guess.

  • And there is a bit of mild sexual content right there at the end. Or at least it's implied. I'm just saying.

  • @acapellajohn Okay.... what? Romance and love does not = sex. Sorry, but that is just plain silly to say. The Songs of Solomon endorsed sex EVEN MORE then this ending. If the songs of solomon are in the bible and endorse sex even more, then this isn't bad at all.

  • Probably his best out of the three I've heard

  • He totally stole those roses

  • Okay. Okay. I finally got the 411 from someone who works very closely with Goatse, John's record label.

The lady at the end is actually John's wife, Inez. The, well, hefty guy who thugs John is his father in law, Hector "Denny" Ramirez. The unabomber guy is Inez' brother Ramon. And that's the inside scoop.

  • Goatse? Funny, but no. Gotee is the record John's signed onto. And his wife's name is Erin, not Inez. Sure you talked to the right person?

  • I'm pretty sure.

  • Yeah! Her name is Erin...that really confused me. O.O

  • oh john...

  • I first thought the one "thug" was Mr. Clark (lead singer of Demon Hunter). Doesn't it look like him at a first glance? haha

  • I was waiting to be blown away by a new Johnny Reubonic song. This one takes the cake.

    Awesome.

    Awesome!!

  • Sarah Silverman? I dunno- but the thug on the right looks like Shel Silverstene- That beard used to freak me out o the back of "Where the Sidewalk Ends"

  • All of John Reuben's videos are amazing... all of them...

  • aw i love so many of the folks in this video

  • 1:43 hahahah thats my sister colleen

  • really? that is so awesome

  • Your sister is Sarah Silverman?

  • thats cool

  • sweet sister you got there emerson

  • I think that's his wife in real life.

  • No its not.

  • How did they get Sarah Silverman to play his wife in this thing?

  • that isnt sarah silverman

  • I'm pretty darn sure it is.

  • that is definitely not sarah silverman

  • Yeah. You're right.

  • nice =D

  • who's singing towards the end of the video?

  • Awesome good job. :D
