  • you got warenty

  • with the new firmware its solved the problem....runs perfect now..

  • See my video, there is a link to a new firmware thats solves the problem

  • Well, had my replacement and it's exactly the same in regards to flickering, and also has a yellow gradient.

  • @maxwellian dude, get a program called "smcFanControl" (version 2.2.2 is snow leopard compatible) it installs a program that overrides the minimum fan speed that the imacs are shipped with and allows you to turn the fan speed up enough to cool the unit properly. it will show up to the left of your wireless and bluetooth symbols on your toolbar, i had bad flicker and blackout on my i5 and this completely solved the hot upper left corner and stopped flicker completely

  • That sucks :( I have the same problem it's happened a few times now. -.-

  • I just did a reboot, and now it works 100%

It flickered after the FIRST startup, no longer.

  • i had kinda the same problem, they take it back giving me a new one (apple store online)

  • You take it back to the store? they will give you another on the spot.

  • @Airbornebull I bought it from the Online store, as it is a custom configuration i7 (You can only get the i5 in store). I have a replacement on the way, but not due until the 5th Jan.

  • O ok. I see. But thats good. That's why I didn't get the i7. I couldn't be patient if that happened to me:(
