EVERYTHING you own without exception was delivered on a truck, and before you mention trains and planes go look at the store and see if you find a rail platform or a runway. Get off our backs and stop driving like stupid maniacs, whatever little few seconds of time you gain ppassing a truck you WILL burn up at the next stoplight anyway.
Once again I find people bashing truck drivers. Not the uploader but people in the comments. We do a VERY hard job. Hows this for a wake up call to all the idiots out there who are trying to ban trucks. Go run naked in the woods and eat twigs, grass, and tree bark stupid cuz without trucks thats what you would be doing.
What is with the obsession with bashing truckers? I dont get it... Try being gone from home for months at a time. Imagine working 12 plus hours a day, and being on a tight schedule. Imagine being regulated by numerous state/federal agencies just waiting to fine you, or put you out of work. Imagine your company, or receiver trying to fine you for everything imaginable. People fail to realize that without trucks, the world would stop. They are one of the most important industries in any country.
not making excuses and yes u turning a semi is dangerous..but u gotta understand more than ever..truck drivers are being pressured into delievering their loads by the company and these hours of work rules service...
you know every ones so stuck on criticizing the truck drivers no one pays attention to the fact that when a truck makes that kind of turn the trailer actually gets pushed backwards and there are several cars darting impatiently past the turning truck before the lane is clear only to go 50 yards then stuck again so look at it like this red blooded humans drive cars and red blooded humans drive tractor trailers the only difference is the vehicle so please have patience with trucks
tractor trailer must do delivery at night time and get good pay for it, we are civilized people the law must change, organized the traffic split heavy truck and cars as a safety
@Guadalupe51973 You have no clue what your talking about idiot.Trucks run 24 hrs a day to keep the USA,Canada and every other country running and getting shit to you completely ungrateful assholes and all you want is your roads free of trucks.Well guess what, trucking companies and truckers pay way more in highway taxes than you do so those roads your on,those are ours, you drive at night dick.
@shadowr434 He does actually have a point... He's meaning about the rules for lanes and usage of those lanes so that heavy vehicles actually have thier own lane.
You getting offensive, is just another case of internet experts... Dude, Every other country doesn't depend on the trucks in the states... Most stuff comes from China. You import more than you export, so how's that actually affect us?
Road rules... Leads to better traffic management and options.
@SewSumi At what point did I say other countries depend on US truckers? I said every country depends on truckers whether its the US,Canada or any other country. Try reading my comment a little closer next time. Also,Im not an internet expert,Im a tractor trailer driver.
@shadowr434 "Trucks run 24 hrs a day to keep the USA,Canada and every other country running and getting shit to you completely ungrateful assholes and all you want is your roads free of trucks"
I doubt you're actually a truck driver... You're an internet expert to me, and an ass at that.
@SewSumi If you say so.Im 44 yrs old and Ive been a trucker for 25 yrs.I dont have to prove that to you though. What about my comment makes you think Im not?You ask any trucker on the road and they will tell yuo the exact same thing. The truth hurts.
@shadowr434 Yea, Age means anything on the internet... You could be a 15 year old kid just putting the age in to avoid the issue of not being allowed on here in the first place.
I reckon what you should do is go and walk up to a random person who's talking and tell them that they are an idiot, and see what kind of response you get.
As for the fact of you maybe being a trucker... doesn't matter. Road rules, and management actually works for transport. So you shouldn't be getting offensive on it
@shadowr434 You're an internet expert to me, and an ass after that. You come in attacking, EXACTLY like these internet experts, and abusing calling names.
If you actually were what you claim to be, you'd realise, You don't talk to people like that. You'll get hurt faster than anything, Or just excluded when you need a hand.
After all, What he was talking about was splitting up the lanes so that trucks are on one route and cars on another.
"tractor trailer must do delivery at night time and get good pay for it, we are civilized people the law must change, organized the traffic split heavy truck and cars as a safety"
He barely mentions splitting traffic and the main portion of his post is about having trucks run at night which is why I originally posted. And I don't think your an adult but I wasn't throwing that out there.
I like how the cars quickly went past the backend of the first truck as he was turning just to move a few feet ahead just to stop again in traffic anyway! LOL
Done that myself in my truck and trailer considering some times it can get interesting on who is driving and also you FORGET the turn you where supposed to make.
this is actually quite a good idea that they have had. Having worked with trucks and having had to deal with the bullshit Driver fatigue 'laws' here that restrict a truck driver to 12 driving hours with breaks, why would you sit there and waste more time when you could be on an alternate route and making good time? they have a hard enough job as it is and if they don't get through stores run out of goods, gas stations run out of fuel and the general public blame the trucks.
unfortunatly there is a big misunderstanding here,if you get paid by the load you dont get paid to sit,so if there is another option you usually take it,and at least here in the us ,u-turns are legal in most places.it has nothing to do with being impatient.and i feel the abusive comments need to stop too, misunderstandings and mis heard jokes happen its just people are so filled with hate, peace:)
Am I sick of all the abusive comments on whatever I look up on U Tube.... seems to get some people off ..... being abusive to persons unknown to them.... sad really.......
Nothing beats the 53 footer doing a u-turn on highway 10 between exit 55 and 68 (Ange-Gardien and Granby). Good job doing an illegal and dangerous u-turn Sunbury driver! I wish i had my camera out.
In a car, nothing, but in a truck that size it's extremely unsafe. Count the seconds, especially on the first one, which had the standard size 53 foot trailer. It took well over ten seconds. That's an eternity in heavy traffic. Someone runs under your trailer, they most likely get killed. I've worked for 3 major trucking companies during my career, and all three of them would fire you on the spot if they see you doing a stunt like that.
well thanks for calling me names without even knowing me ...the reason i was there was actually to observe planes landing at the montréal airport...maybe you don't like planes but i do and i just saw these trucks doing U-turns on a busy day while i was there behind that fence. If you think i'm a loser, take a look at my A380 landing in montréal video taken at the exact same location.. at least i know i'm not the only 'scumbag' with no job (i do have a job) hiding behind a fence having hobbies
Until you decapitate someone get charged for manslaughter and never drive again then you will think twice before making that u-turn. Waiting a extra few minutes is never worth someones life or your career. Seen many accidents that involved a big rig making a u-turn saw one right in front of me almost killed the 4 wheeler. Your the professional act like it. Would a professional be patient and wait? Or be impatient and make a illegal turn? The sad part is they probably saved all of 5 minutes.
I do shit like that all the time. When it comes to trucks...don't confuse impatience with failure. When you are at work and the elevator is not working, do you stand there and wait for it to be fixed? Or do you take the stairs? Time is money...seriously. One missed delivery or pickup could cost dearly.
EVERYTHING you own without exception was delivered on a truck, and before you mention trains and planes go look at the store and see if you find a rail platform or a runway.
